The Vernard Boys and The Alchemical Architecture Upholding Termites' Test
Vincent was, all things considered, in a good mood. Applying alchemical principles had proven most effective in the theoretical models for his nanites, even if it disqualified the work from any mass distribution. Still, he was proud of it, and looked forward to this first lab test. Particularly since Kristoff was working with him. Despite some of the more mind-numbing parts, he'd been quite happy with resuming their lessons together.

"Excellent." Kristoff knows what sundered means in many magical contexts, but he knows Vincent is trying to keep things clinical to avoid highlighting his brothers weakness, and he appreciates that.

After withdrawing the injector, Vincent gives Kristoff a glance which states that he's about to break typical procedure, but there's no helping it, as this is a very atypical experiment.

He walks over and extends a finger, almost touching the liquid.

"That which was undone, now be made right once more. Arceus novium electos cerdius." The incantation seems to make Vincent's voice resonate briefly, creating the faintest tingle of otherness to anyone nearby. There is no ceremony though, no flash of eldritch force or burst of divine light.

Vincent pauses, then produces a pair of tongs from his tool-kit. He extends one side in through the doorway of the model, pinching a wall between them. He raises his arm, and where the structure would have fallen apart into the toy blocks minutes earlier, it is all thoroughly welded together from within.

"Doctor Vernard... we have a success." Mister Vernard states as he sets the house back down, smiling.

"Excellent!" Dr. Vernard smiles and claps a hand to his brother's shoulder.

Vincent just continues smiling and looks over the model for a bit more before setting it back down.

"It worked." He re-states the obvious. He's very pleased with this whole course of events. He worked hard on this, and even if it's not something he can introduce to the mass-market, he's proud of it.

"Do you think we're ready to proceed to a field test after we isolate the deviations in the tunneling?"
