More Bloodsuckers in Washington
It had taken them some time to reestablish themselves back in Washington DC to influence the politics of the country but for a Vampire it hadn’t taken to long at all. They were start off slow gaining control over up and coming politicians that might someday make it big and be very nice to have in their pockets.

They had set up a cover as lobbyists, which worked as a great cover to get close to and talk to the politicians that they had in mind. They already had being building influence in several very promising politicians thru varies means and had even managed to get some of their human followers in on the staff of some of the ones that they thought had the most promise.

So far they had managed to staff of the radar of anyone who might be about to interfere with their plans here and had already dealt with some people who had caused some problems for them in a very permanent way.

“Yes he is but I’m afraid he’s not seeing anyone right now,” She say, “It’s a little late for a walking meeting as he has a very important conference coming up with some big time lobbyist supporters of his. If you would like perhaps we could schedule one right now or you could try again tomorrow maybe a bit earlier.”

"Does he have anything open this afternoon?" She asked. "It's important that I speak to him soon."

"No I'm sorry he doesn't like I said he's preparing for his meeting with the Healthy Blood Coalition they are his biggest supporters," She says, "Who would have thought such a group would have the money to be such big campaign supporters even if they do keep those rather odd and annoyingly late hours."

"Healthy Blood Coalition? What are they working to increase donations to the American Red Cross or something?" She couldn't say that she was familiar with them. Though the mention of blood and meeting at night did sound highly suspicious.

And for some reason, she sincerly doubted that they were involved with the Red Cross.

"I'm not sure," She says, "I think it has something to do with a rare blood disease or something. I can ask for you when they come back later and tell you tomorrow."

The Congressman walked out of his office towards the secretary.

"Lenore," he says, "I need to to send my wife. I'm going to miss dinner working late tonight."

"Mr. Norn," Jessica said, walking towards him.

"Jessica Hellstrom, Chicago Sentinel. What can you tell me about the Healthy Blood Coalition?"

Though she did know one thing. The Congressman was wreaking of magical energy.

The Congressman gave an annoyed look before saying, "The Healthy Blood Coalition is one of my biggest supporter and the work they are lobbing for is a good thing for the American people on either side of the political spectrum."

“Look I’m sorry I don’t have time to answer these questions,” He says getting oddly evasive, “If you really want to find out more about them I’m sure Lenore can give you there contact info so you can ask them yourself I’m sure they can provide you with much better answers than I can.”

And notice his evasiveness, Jessica did.

"I will make sure to look into further," she said.

"I'm sorry for my curtness but I really am busy Lenore will be sort to take care of you and always nice to talk to the press," He says before heading back into his office without another word.

And with the information she had, Jessica left the room.
