When visiting Mom it was best not to go empty handed. A box of her favorite truffles worked pretty well. He made sure to stop and get some before he went into S.H.I.E.L.D. Medical. As worried as she was about Stark, she might not notice it wasn't her favorite vodka.

He knocked on the room door and waited for admittance.

Oddly enough, that made the situation a little better for Misha.

"Mom should be back soon. She'll kill me if she thinks I've disturbed you. Dad will, too."

"It wouldn't be much of a fight. I'd give in too fast. Mom's scary when she's mad. You should get a nap now so she can spoil you when she gets back." He reopened his book. "Thanks."
