Doing This Right
After some of the jubilation over Svalin's wedding had died down, Vincent and Asleif went to meet with her mother. Vincent gave his prospective girlfriend's hand a squeeze. "I know you'd never say I need to speak with your parents before dating you, but it just seems like the right thing to do. What with me being 'reinstated' Asgardian and whatnot." He shrugs, but smiles at her.

"I shall make no promises of that, Vincent," Asleif tells him. "Only that I shall try to balance duty with my heart. But no more promise than that."

Vincent finds himself grow a bit warm under the collar as Asleif mentions her heart, but he nods, hugging her.

"That seems most fair."

He is content to hold her for a while, Asgard seemingly peaceful in its rare quiet.

Eventually, he speaks again. "You should speak with your sister. Sooner, rather than later. I find myself more than ready to return home."

"I shall, though I am to remain here for a time longer. There are things which must still be attended to after the celebrations. My sister's wife has promised to teach of us "Scrabble.'"

She turned and kissed him, gently. "So if you would return, you need not wait for me. But I shall see you again soon."
