Seeking Marlow (After Me, Myself and I)
Titan limps his way toward Marlow's bungalow, still sore and in an immense amount of pain after his recent troubles. It'll be a few days, maybe even a week before he's whole again, but he's not going to wait that long to see her. He would have crawled all the way to her bungalow if he had to, but he's not going to let anyone know just how beat up he is, especially Marlow. She wouldn't be happy to see the bandages as it is.

He knocks on her door and hopes she's not out on the beach.

	"You're just going to have to make an exception for me," she insisted. "I'm not losing track of you again. Your girlfriend will have to live with it." She hugged him again. 	Marlow frowned into his hair at the idea of Titan laughing aat her, but it couldn't last. She was too happy to have him back. She drew back a little and kissed his cheek before letting herself put both feet on the ground. He was big and safe and familiar, and she quite frankly adored him without apology or embarrassment. 	"I'll take him to see his girlfriend tomorrow. He'll like that." She tugged on his hand with both of hers. "I'll make you tea and get pillows to make you omfortable, and you can tell me who hurt you so I can make them very sorry." She smiled at him, sweet and happy. He follows Marlow, smiling. "You're not gonna hurt anybody. I got hurt bein' dumb and the people who hurt me had good reason. I hurt a lot of other people before they found me and...it was bad, Marlow. I did stuff to people that I never wanted to do.

Stuff I never wanna do again.

How about we drink that mead and have a really good time? Did you get drunk while I was gone, Magic Babe?" he asks.

Even she could tell he didn't want to talk about it, but she would get the story in due time. Somebody would pay for what happened to him.

For now, she was willing to pamper him. "I think I did. The mead was so good and sweet I asked if I could bring some home. Svalin said we would and we did. I have two bottles, and I think Hal has more in his bungalow. I might have to stage an illusion raid to get it."

She talked on about the wedding while she gently nudged him to the sitting room and gathered together pillows and a thick blanket, a bottle of mead, a glass, another pillow...

"...and Vernique seems really nice. I'm glad they're happy," she finished.

	Titan takes a swig from the bottle and smiles as the sweet alcohol slides down his throat. Right now, he was content. "I'll get more." She sat at the end of the sofa facing him with her legs crossed Indian-style. The glass was cradled in both hands as she thought about his words. In the weeks he'd been gone she'd thought of dozens of things to say to him and now couldn't think of one.

"They were mostly nice but I'm pretty sure they thought I was simple minded. I talked to Andy a little but he might still be mad at me. We had words after you disappeared."

	Titan looks at her sidelong. He didn't like it when Walters talked to Marlow, because it usually upset her and Andy was a crafty little bastard. That brings Titan up a little short, which makes him angry.

For once, he agrees with Andy.

"Marlow...I could hurt you without tryin' hard, especially if somethin' like this every happens again. I don't wanna do that /ever/.

So you need to promise that if somethin' happens and I'm hurtin' people, you'll do what needs to be done...or let someone else do it. Please promise me that." Titan requests.

I had a plan and a spell, and an island where you would be safe until we could figure out how to fix you.
