It had been entirely an impulse purchase, but it was the exact same bike she'd had back home. The damn serial number had even been the same and maybe that is what had sent MC over the edge. It didn't matter that it needed work; it was hers.

Except...while she could get the bike running, the baby blue 1979 Harley Davidson Sportster had some structural issues. Namely...it wouldn't drive straight and MC wasn't entirely certain how to fix that and she didn't have a whole lot of resources that took a petite redhead seriously. Not here. There was only one person she could think of.

Half an hour later, she'd tracked down Lysi and pulled up (or rather skidded dangerously up) to her curb.

"Maybe the people who are telling you this don't understand the difference between true bitchiness and forthrightness." MC grabs Lysi another Coke and sits it beside her before getting up the supplies to start in with the oil change of Lysi's bike.

This includes a pink work shirt that she puts on over her clothes.

"It'll probably be the latter before the former; I never get used to being teased so it's blush city."

	"Fine by me, its cute." Lysi replies, still largely amused by the conversation in general. "And could be, either way, doesn't bother me none." 	MC works on Lysi's bike quietly for a bit, breaking her quiet only to yelp once when she pinches her finger. It doesn't take her long to do that before she's up and cleaning up. "So. When did you want to go on the date thing?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

By the time MC has the engine work done, Lysi has the frame all put together. Its still a skeleton of a bike, with all the paneling and decoration laid out on the side, but its coming together.

"Any time you want. I ain't exactly got any dress up clothes, so if we're doing dinner, might as well try and make a date of it, far as I'm concerned. Or if you like something more fancy for your dates, we can hit the steak house tonight, and you can tell me when our first date is."

	The swat to the ass earns a surprised yelp and even more blushing than Lysi's seen from MC yet, but she's smiling as she hurries away, scurrying into the house so that she can get ready. When she returns precisely on time, MC is perfectly put together: little dress, cute shoes, fabulous hair and makeup...and she's still blushing. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Lysi doesn't do 'put together' nearly so well. She's dressed in the nicest clothes she has... which are pretty similar to her work clothes... but at least she's showered and has clean clothes, so that's something, right?

She's settled in by the bike she's got put back together, leaning back against the reconstructed vehicle, working on a coke. She takes a long look at MC as she returns. "Damn, that two hours was totally worth the wait."

	Making the girl blush is just far too much fun. Lysi hops onto the bike - but perhaps out of respect for MC being all dressed up, she's not quite as psychotic on the road this time - only a little psychotic, headed for her favorite steak place. 	Well, she holds to Lysi no less tightly even with the decreased insanity of the ride and when they arrive, MC is aware that she's vastly over-dressed. A little shyly, she clumsily reaches for Lysi's hand as they walk in. "It smells really good here," she says, squeezing her hand tightly. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The type of place is further indicated by the fact MC gets a number of whistles and catcalls - definitely a place for truckers, a few bikers, and local construction workers. There's a few TV screens showing baseball and soccer, but its not quite a sports bar, more just a steakhouse and bar that happens to have sports - quite a few of those around Seattle, as it turns out.

Lysi gives the worst offenders a possessive glance - this piece of eye candy is hers damnit - which settles down most of it. She apparently has gotten a reputation here among the rough crowd.

"Yeah, food's really good. Best steak I've found yet."
