Demons To The Left of Me, Undead to the Right, Here I Am Stuck In the Middle With You
The sun was starting to sink on the Western horizon and into the Pacific Ocean as another day was ending. A few miles south of 1800 Palos Verdes Drive the ground erupted in a spray of dirt. One by one soldiers came forth from the ground. Some were Spartans, some were Roman legionnaires, and some were Norsemen. A total of three thousand eventually stood in the dying light. They moved into formation and started marching.

	Aridis scowled. She felt much the same as Aslief did. She pulled a spell from her mind then drew out her bow and pointed. "One shall become many and strike down mine enemy," Aridis speaks then lets an arrow fly out far into a group of demons. It splits into hundreds of arrows and reigns down upon the demon forces. 	The mystical bolts hit one demon and go right through him and the two behind him. The demons screamed with pain and fell where they stood. The ones hit by the arrows screamed as they were stopped in their tracks. The horde continued to slowly advance. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Aridis called fourth the arrows again. She wouldn't go to another spell. The arrows would be very effective. It was her hope the magic would recognize who her allies were and have the arrows fall past them. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

And as quickly cut by ruby fire as Marlow summoned handfuls of crystals to send out in the horde. She then fired blasts of white energy at them as well, the spells chanted in her head while she concentrated on the battle. Flying demons dropped with agonizing death screams.

Marlow was accessing power that she didn't normally use, but with the battle raging around them it might go by unnoticed by the others.

Aridis called fourth the arrows once more. This time they were on fire as they fell from the sky. Her eyes grew colder. There were so many of them she had to do something.

So she made a fist and cast a spell as she punched out. A fist of cold wind came down from the sky at the horde. This would leave Aridis light headed. It was something Aslief should have cast such a large spell, not her.

"By Odin's might! There are so many of them," Aridis muttered while bracing herself.

	Demons fell under the rain of arrows, but more filled in to take their places. The wind knocked a few down, but they slowly climbed to their feet and started moving toward the building again. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Curse her for a novice! Ardis did have the right idea. The elements that were their birthright would save them now, but simpler spells. The mortal realm was clearly diminishing her senses the longer she stayed here. She called down the lightning. "Storm... come! Lightning strike! Deliver us from evil!" 	The smell of ozone drifted on the breeze along with the smell of burning flesh. The lightning fried demons in their tracks and others just stepped around them to continue their advance. (Reply to this)(Parent)
