A Day in the Library
While Sengai was wary about exploring the city, he had been growing rather bored. To help with this anxiety, Giovanna had shown him the Genoshan Consulate's library. Sengai had to admit he was impressed. It was by far the largest collection of books he'd ever seen. Granted he never traveled from home before, but still. What was really astounding was the sheer number of books and articles by mutant authors. Gio had said he could stay in there and read as much as he wanted. She had since left for an assignment and had left Sengai to his own devices. He was currently reading an article by a Samuel Tyler, an advocate of a "Seperate, but Equal" approach to human-mutant relations.

"Well," Sengai looked a little sheepish. "My father taught me his fighting style, but he never told me what it is called. I personally suspect there are elements of different styles in it. I am proficient with the whip, though I've been attempting to expand my knowledge of hand weapons. Training with Giovanna has improved my swordsmanship immensely."

"Indeed. I don't know them myself, but I have read about several different kinds such as jujitsu, sambo, capopeira, and others." Sengai had to admit he was enjoying talking with her. He hadn't been this comfortable with a girl since..Priya. The memory inadvertantly brought a frown to his face. He caught himself and hoped she hadn't noticed. "So..you say you have lived in Genosha?"

"Not exactly lived, but spent a lot of summers there. My mom had a close relationship with Magneto and she had some other friends there. I got to go spend time there when she was busy and when dad was busy. It was great."

Her devotion to Magneto's line would make losing you a personal failure." Sengai had been taught to read people fairly well. Plus Suvik had told him all about Joanna Cargill, and Rikki showed most of the signs of having a similar personality.
