Leaving Home
Sarita stood at the airport, anxiously awaiting the arrival of the representative of Silver Sable International. She briefly contemplated her sutcase. It was the first time she'd left the country, let alone home. However, she was determined to see this through. She had to learn the truth about what happened to her dad. The idea of him returning to crime just didn't feel right, not when compared to the caring man she'd known growing up. And now that she'd inherited her father's gift, she wouldn't let anyone get in her way of finding him.

	Kelly grins down at the two of them. "Bea, where is my sorority paddle? She totally just set me up to ask 'who's your daddy?'" There's a reason the first caution was 'don't let her get to you'. 	One thing Sarita may not have shown while speaking to Bea was that she had a wry sense of humor herself. So when Kelly makes the joke about paddles and "who's your daddy", she bursts out laughing. Too late, Serita... Kelly's eyebrow raises a notch as she reads expressions, blushes and hesitations the way most people read books... thankfully, Bea cuts her off.

"But I haven't even gotten my hands on her yet." she teases, sticking her tongue out at her sister. "And I've read all of them, induction into the Wild Pack, questions as to his stability, questions as to his past associates, strong group mentality that led to him being a team player that conflicted with his intimacy and trust issues, concerns about regression given the right social pressure, vulnerability to brainwashing due to those insecurities, desperate need for acceptance that led to him wanting a wife and child to dote upon... while being terrified that he'd screw up and lose it all... ironically, given his behavioral enforcement, leading to a high likelihood of screwing it all up or reversion to old patterns to try and achieve more for said family in hopes that they'd love him more if he was rich..." she rattles off the various analyses and her own textbook psychology.

"You know, light reading. Great guy to have a beer or two with, but almost guaranteed to hurt the ones he loved... and not in a fun way."

	Sarita's intial embarassment is washed away as the other woman's description of her father weighs in. It rang true from what her mom had told her along with the things she'd heard her dad say over the years. For a while she just hung her head in silence, not crying, but a little depressed. 	Sarita holds back the urge to snap at Kelly's bluntness. She needs these people's help afterall. "It's also said he's had major personality changes." Sarita manages a nod. "I'd appreciate that. "Rykers, really? They won't be able to hold him for long. Even if he's passive, sooner or later, one of his running buddies who hear about the change of heart will try and fetch him." Kelly replies, pondering, without making any obvious note of intending to be any less blunt, or having noticed she's causing waves.
"Best options for what got to him would either be power degeneration, or someone getting to him. He's run in the past with some brain-fuckers."

	Sarita's eyes narrow as her skin shifts and morphs into sand, her powers reacting to her emotions. "Are you telling me someone's been screwing with my dad's head?" "I'm not telling you anything. Only thing I can say for certain is that sand in the bikini area has never looked so appealing.

What I am saying is that, judging by his profile and past, if he's having headcase issues, the odds are that it either has something to do with either having brain matter you could make a sand castle out of long-term... past experiences like the mud monster bit or having his bits scattered to the winds to defeat him in the past, or, third, that one of his old running buddies might be fucking with him. All are pretty equal possibilities... if you want me to take a look into it, I might be able to find a string or two to pull on. Either way, if Bea says we'll get it sorted, it means that SSI is going to at least try and look into it."
