Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo (Open)
Irina wasn't one for celebrating her own birthday. She love celebrating others, but for her own she liked to find a dive bar and drink until she was seeing double or triple. Which is exactly what she was doing today, her thirtieth birthday.

She sat in a corner table, back to the wall, with a bottle of Jose Cuervo and a shot glass. She didn't even bother with the salt and lime.

"Security." Donovan says automatically, leaning in to take his next shot. He aims for the purple two-ball, but he misses completely.

He steps back so Irina can go.

"As it happens, I'm in town for a couple of days on a job and I had some free time tonight before it starts. I missed celebrating my birthday, so I came out and found some company." he says.

"Do you like being a member of the Champions?" he asks.

	Irina smiled. "Happy belated birthday," she said. "We can celebrate yours and not celebrate mine together." Irina took a moment and lined up her shot. "That I can agree with. I've done some guarding for some high-profile types and it's usually a lot of 'hurry up and wait'." Donovan says, lining up his shot.

The blue six ball sits near a side pocket and Donovan calls that shot, dropping it in lightly...followed by the cue ball, a scratch.

"The only thing that gets me through most jobs is my knife collection." he says, stepping back so she can get by.

	"Okay, first guess...the small of your back." he says, thinking over the other places she might hide them. "One on your...right arm? One at your ankle. And finally...right thigh." Donovan says, trying to be more aware of the way she moves now. It was always easier to spot a gun than a blade, but sometimes, one got lucky. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Donovan makes a show of patting her down, and Irina will notice that while he does linger for a second or two longer than professionally called for, he pats her down expertly.

He grins at finding the ones at the small of her back, and the one at her ankle, as well as the one in her boot. The knife in her cleavage was pleasant surprise, though, and he chuckles as he looks down at her.

"That would have been the knife that killed me. Damn good place for it, though. A man could stare too long and still not see it coming." he says.

	"Let's just say that I've seen women do some crazy things when they're about to be arrested and the like. I've worked with law enforcement and I watched a guy lose an eye because he didn't see the knife coming from the chest." Donovan says. 	"If you're not to particular about finishing the game, we can go back to my room and I'll show you mine." he says, looking down at her with a playful grin...which he doesn't do often, so it looks like he might be a little nervous. Donovan leans his cue against the wall and takes Irina's offered hand.

"Okay, since my room is only down the street, we'll have to walk. I don't think I should drive after everything I've had thus far." he says.

"But it's just a block away. It'll give me time to think over where else you've hidden a knife." he grins, leading her up to the bar to pay the tab. He does so, then leads her out of the bar.

	"New Orleans has been a lot of fun. I especially love the food. If I didn't have to move around so much, I might stay. The weather is decent enough and I like the south." he says.
