Well, this is ... different.
Earth aeroplanes are officially fascinating. But now he is off of it, and when the humans don't seem to be looking, he takes the small cylinder out and -- ~clickclick!~ has his staff. He leans on it casually and looks around.

Hannah actually liked Kansas City International Airport. Unlike JFK or La Guardia, parking was easy and the gate system was really easy. You literally could just walk right up, save for the glass. Greeting people was even easier; they stepped out a door and there they were.

Hannah didn't need much information to go on in regards to getting Legate. He was remarkably easy to spot.

"Hi, over here." She held up a hand to get his attention.

"I meant to say eighty. It's hot and wet out there. It's miserable." Especially for those with metal parts. Good lord, she was going to have to beg Justin for some sort of cooling unit to install.

"Car's got air conditioning though." She smiled at him and lead the way to the car."

"I'm Hannah Jensen. I prefer to be called Jensen, but no one on the team bothers to listen to that. They have this stupid idea that they need to treat me like I'm a person."

"Ah. That is unfortunate, and fortunate, respectively." Legate blinks. "Nice to meet you, Jensen. Legate Son-of-Century-and-Azimuth. Doesn't respect for a fellow sentient generally involve calling them waht they want to be called?"

"Generally, but that would require me to consider myself a sentient. I'm mostly machine at this point and am willing to surrender to that. They are insistent that the fifteen to twenty percent of me that is still functionally human takes precedence so...the impass."

When they step outside, Legate will feel the nasty and oppressive heat. It's just downright uncomfortable and Jensen wastes no time in bringing the car to them. It pulls up and around right to the curb for them, stopping before the doors open automatically for Legate and Jensen walks around to the other side, settling into the vacant driver's seat as she syncs with the machine.

"I'll have to tell Justin that he was right about the wireless access control for the car. Huh."

"Machines can't count as sentients? Is this a bad time to mention that a member of my family is a techno-organic staff?" He looks at his own. "Not this one. This one's just a convenient folding-metal stick."

He smiles at the arrival of the car. "Very nice." A couple of clicks, and the stick is back in his bag as he climbs in.

"I don't think there is anything wrong with them counting as sentients so long as the machine wants to be considered as such." She pauses as she controls the car out of the airport and back onto the interstate, heading south.

Hannah lets the miles go by for a moment before she starts pointing some things out.

"That there is the Missouri River. As you can see, it's flooding. Which is causing some issues in the area I've been keeping my eyes on. This is historic. It hasn't done this in this area in a very long time, not at this level. A great deal of devastation. Over there is the rail yard. Kansas City has, at various times, been the nation's largest inland port. And just head is downtown. That building there..." The windshield indicates with a red arrow what she's talking about. "Is where we live and work."

Hannah pulled up information on the car's windshield about the Fujishima disaster in Japan. Sometimes it was easier to show than tell.

"Save for the business of the earthquake, that is the concern. Granted, they have floodwalls. But it's still a nerve-bothering situation."

"So I'm monitoring the situation for now."

She got off the highway and started taking surface streets to their building, pulling the car in through a well-hidden gate to an underground structure.

"Here we are. Right now were are on the basement parking level. Just beyond us is the structure of the building and there are several sub-basements below us. Don't worry, though. The building itself will give you a guided tour once we get inside. I'm particularly proud of that feature as I set it up."

"Yeah, we're working on some ideas for that. I didn't know it could flood that badly here, but now, we're going to find ways to help the people and prepare them for more flood and tornadoes." Justin says.
