Nell was surprised at how things were working out. People and corporations were actually somewhat on board with the plans she'd been proposing--though she suspected that many were doing it for tax write-off purposes and expected things to fail. She didn't mind that so much; things were not going to fail. It was, for her, that simple and she attacked the project with that in mind. There was only one thing giving her grief and that was the library.
Nell was stewing over the library issue when she hurried into the Consulate a) late, b)without her bodyguard (whom she'd managed to ditch long enough to sneak to a Starbucks for coffee and c) muttering to herself about her drink only having one pump of mint when she'd asked for a 'lethal' dose. When she got to her office and discovered Cassidy there, she was more than a little embarassed.
"Oh crap, how long have you been waiting for me?"
