Dragon Hunting
The sun was bright and the air was crisp with the hint of the cold that was to come with winter. It was the perfect day for hunting and it was exactly what Svalin had planned to do. She walked easily beside the others and was eager to find prey.

She had been awake with the dawn and had been anxious to go. Nine months of sitting around and doing little were past her and it was time to get back out there. The days since Solver's birth had been spent getting back in shape when she wasn't spending time with her family. Hours in the practice yard with anyone who would spar with her and miles of running. She was a bit determined to get back into top shape as quickly as possible.

A bow was in her hand and Vigfrior at her side. She would have loved to bring Tryggvi, but horses and her brother didn't get along well so they walked. Svalin didn't mind. It would only help her get back in top shape.

"A wise choice, sister," Aridis agreed. She had no desire to do this but it made sense.

"We wilt see thee back to the safety of thine realm." She would prefer to hunt the others down and slay them but this made more sense. His people should know of the betrayers. It will foster peace.

"You have my gratitude. As for the traitors, they will be found if I have to do so myself," he assured with a dark tone. "Come, I will guide us through the quickest way."

Halbjorn growls, but nods. "Twill be as thou wish it, sister mine." he replies, taking a flanking position in hopes of being near the front if another trap springs.

She quickly scrambled to gather her pack she dropped before the skirmish and jogged to catch up until she was brining up the rear of the group.

"We go to the land of the dark elves? Truely???" She sounded...far to excited. First a battle (skirmish), and now this...the day couldn't get any better if that dragon attacked right that second.

Svalin was about to answer and then she paused. Her original plan was to escort this dark elf through Asgard to the border of Svartalfheim, but if they were to leave him there and he was set upon again their saving the prince would be for naught.

Svalin nodded. "aye. We wilt see the prince safely to the queen." Though there was a chance they could be seen as invading and escalate matters between the Asgardians and the Dark Elves. It was a risk, but it was one Svalin was willing to take.

"It couldst be dangerous returning the prince and I wouldst not order any of thee to go. If any of thee wish to return to the city thou may do so."

"And let the assassins be free and away? I say thee nay. If I mayst not pursue, I wilt at least see their queen, and hope they try again that I mayst end them."

"I agree with our brother. I say yes sister. I wilt go with thee. Thou hast my bow. I wilst see this through with thee." Aridiis says seriously standing a little taller than before.

Kael says nothing during the exchange between the Aesir. It was still odd to him to have his people's enemies aid him, but these were odd times to be sure.

"We should have little problem crossing the border. I still have my royal seal if my presence isn't enough to convince any patrols. I believe most of the traitors were there during the attack on Asgard but..there may still be some left in Svartheim."

Svalin nodded. "We wilt follow thee," she said. She looked at her brother. "Guard our backs." It was better to have Hal in the rear of the party instead of out front. When, not if, they ran into dark elves he was more likely to attack first and not ask any questions.

"Aye." he agrees, moving to the back of the group.

They didn't need to ask if she wanted to come, the way her eyes were shining with the promise of further adventure...*and* to see the kingdom of the dark elves??? What young Asgardian could turn down such an oppertunity? Not this one, that was for sure.
