Grabbing Some Grub (Open)
Anya sat at the small table and focused on the screen on the table in front of her. Just because she was eating lunch it didn't mean she couldn't work. Work was consuming all of her time and energy lately and would probably continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

The burger on the plate had a few bites out of it and only a few fries were missing. Anya's mind was focused on food and not work.

	"Oh I wanted to see it for myself, it sounded cool. So it's not the appliances..." He gives her and odd look now. "I don't know who that is though...but I don't know how you set cereal on fire. "She must be pretty cool then. Is she a superhero too?" Meeting more superheroes was always a fun thing in his book.

"Oh don't worry! Demons are tons of fun! There are all sorts and you don't have to hold back or worry about killing them or stuff like that, and it's perfect for testing out new spells and stuff." Martin looks at her thoughtfully again, "I should've checked before but I didn't feel any magic here so I didn't but...better late than never! I'll have to go brush up on the spells for it later just to be sure...Do you think the others blow stuff up unintentionally sometimes too? I should check them too..."

He hasn't kept up with all the superhero teams since he's started studying under Dr. Strange so Martin is particularly interested in other heroes. "Cool! What does she do? Does she have armour like you?" He thinks all superheroes either had crazy accidents or cool toys to give them powers, and he's looking forward to meeting more of them.

"They are very good at blowing things up...even themselves. Hmm I'll check them anyway don't worry, it'll be fun and you can say there aren't any demons in the HQ! Dr. Strange already checked me, and he made sure I was human. You can ask him if you want." When it comes to magic those are legitimate concerns.

"Apparently you can never be sure when it comes to people who can do magic," he answers. "That's alright, I'll deal with the demons if they ever pop up."

All this talk of demons reminds Martin that he should probably mention something else, "Speaking of demons...I hope you don't mind but I put up a few protection spells on the HQ." He frantically waves his hands now while explaining, "Nothing fancy don't worry! Just to make sure people and demons can't just pop in when they want, and there's another one I put up that keeps all sorts of demons away." The hand waving causes some magic sparks to fly out, some of which hit a nearby cup which promptly dances across the table.

Martin catches the dancing cup under his hat and glances up a tad embarassed, "Oops sorry about this I'll fix it." He mutters and incantation and the cup finally stops tap dancing.

"No problem! I can put up more if you want. I was trying to be helpful and just wasn't sure if you'd mind" He looks at her curiously, "Was there some specific um...people that you wanted to keep out? If I know what they can do I can probably go find and learn some spells that'll keep them out better..."

Martin gives her his best reassuring smile, "Well you can always ask me for help if they ever show up, especially if they do magic. I can be useful for that stuff. He beams, "Great! I wanted to ask you about this, hold on a sec." He takes a deep breath to concentrate and make sure his hands don't spark before reaching into his lucky hat and fishing out the device she'd given the team as a Christmas present and making it levitate until he lets it gently down on the table.

"I figured out how to work it without my hands but...I'm not sure how to carry it around and aim it without my hands. I tried putting it in my belt but then I can't just telekinetically rotate it and shoot. Can you help?"

	He blinks at her for a moment. "Whoa really? That's really impressive. What other stuff have you made?" He may think magic is a much better way of doing things but he's still impressed that people can make such interesting things without it. 	More shocked blinking, "How do you buy one jewelry? I mean she can't even wear it...I thought the Sanctum Sanctorum had some weird stuff but..." Wait, runs this building? Oh dear.
