"I'm almost ready," Anya said as she opened the safe where her mother kept all of her jewelry. She picked out a pair of emerald and diamond earrings and a ring she never saw before. She studied it for a moment and then slipped it on her finger. The safe was re-secured and Anya turned to face Toni. "Now I'm ready."
