Attack On New York
Hadelinde was a bit shocked when a future kid, hers no less, showed up and told her of the bleak future. In the future she was in prison as was most of the criminal world. The Avengers had brought peace to the world and there wasn't a place in that world for her or her kind. The main driving force was a future Avenger called Solver Svalinsson, now an infant.

That couldn't stand. The future could not play out that way. She would make sure of it. The Avengers would not win, not as long as she was alive. She had to do something now to prevent that future.

The meteor that had fallen in Texas was the key to changing the future. Her son had mentioned the strange properties to her. In his past the Avengers had disposed of it by flinging it into the sun. Hadelinde had changed that by having her Masters of Evil steal it out from under the Avengers.

It had taken time and the lives of some test subjects, but in the end they had been able to harness the mutating radiation from the rock and get the results they desired. Each of the Masters of Evil's abilities were boosted to higher levels in addition to creating some very strong, almost indestructible mutates. It was time to test the mutates' abilities against the Avengers.

If this test went well, then they could produce an army.

Hadelinde had the mutates teleported to the middle of Central Park. She and the Masters of Evil would be nearby to watch.

He tosses a flash-bang off into some bushes to her right, trying to get her to turn around while she doesn't know where he is, then tries to come in at her exposed side, palming another weapon as he goes.

Hadelinde didn't fall for the flash of light. She turned in the opposite direction and unleashed a blast.

He rolls with the impact, but can still feel something cracking under the impact, and feel flesh searing. Trying to get out of his top is going to require a lot of care with armor burnt to it. Still, he manages to come away alive and with all limbs still attached, and a new respect for her wits.

That definitely breaks his momentum, and puts him back on the defensive.

He dives forward under the blast and rolls, trying to come up close to her. As he comes up, he flings an explosive with each hand. He's pretty sure they won't do much, but they might draw her attention and get a reaction.

Hadelinde saw the explosives coming at her and moved to avoid them.

Oh man, this is going to hurt. He sees the direction she's moving, part of the point of the explosives - and lunges at her, trying to mvoe to hand to hand range, making an effort to get hold of an arm to try and make up for the strength difference with superior skill and a little judo.

He's pretty sure this won't work long - but he does have a plan.

Buck has no idea who this is, but he's outclassed and knows it, and he recognizes Stark style work.

"Something is ramping up her suit's power. Normally she's a good match for a Stark suit, now... you got any electrical weapons on board?"

Hadelinde turned to see the new comer and that's when Rogers grabbed her arm. The distraction cost her, but she would deal with it. She sent a charge along the surface of her armor to shock him.

"I've got better," he said. He was smirking behind his faceplate. He sent out an EMP toward Hadelinde. With any luck her armor wasn't shielded against it.

He knows better than to be too optimistic about EMP shielding. Even so, it might slow her down. The electrical pulse, on the other hand, creates a problem. Due to the nature of electricity, he can't let go easily, and is just glad he hadn't completed the next part of his plan yet.

Feeling his left arm going numb, which somehow doesn't kill the feel of burnt fingers any, he jerks back and away, forcing his hand free. He needs to hope the newcomer can distract her and reassess. This one will hurt for a while.

Hadelinde's armor was shield, but her systems flickered for a few seconds. It was enough to allow Rogers to release her arm.

Rogers wasn't the biggest threat right now. The other armored figure was. She raised an arm and fired.

Bobby saw the shot coming and didn't make a move. The blast came at him and slammed into a force field. "You need to try better than that, lady."

He rocketed toward her and one of his gauntlets melted back to reveal his bare hand. All he had to do was touch her armor for a second.

Buck takes the opportunity and distraction to draw out another of his throwing weapons, trying to jam it into one of the chinks in the armor and crack the casing. Normally he only uses these for demolitions - plastiques aren't good field weapons, but with all the electricity flying around, he hopes it'll do some structural damage, now that the casing is broken and the plastique exposed.

When and if he can get it in place, he makes as if he's going for the grapple again, then just ducks back, hoping she'll make the same response.

Hadelinde did go for shocking him again which set off the explosives. The casing of her armor had a nice hole in it.

Bobby reached Hadelinde and touched her armor with his bare hand. Three seconds was all that he needed to be able to control the armor system.

He started shutting it down.

Buck goes diving, being thrown by the shockwave. What it took to put a hole in that level of armor is plenty to send him flying.

"ow."

He really hopes that buys that other guy enough time and malfunctions in Hadelinde's system to do what he needs, because Buck is struggling to move about now.

Hadelinde was surprised that her armor was starting to shutdown. What the hell did that guy do?

"Retreat," she said to her team. "Leave the mutants."

Hadelinde activated the teportation device on her arm and started to vanish.

Bobby realized what was happening and didn't have enough time to shut down the device.

"Dammit to hell," he swore in Russian. It wasn't swearing if it was in another language. That's what Mom always said.

Time to check on Dad. "Don't move," he said as he did a scan.

"English is fine," Bobby said as his faceplate opened up. "I only know how to swear in Russian." Not that his grandmother tried to get him to learn more.

"Iron Man," he replied with a smirk. "You have a few broken bones, lacerations and probably going to be sore for a bit."

"The worst is a few spots of second degree," Bobby said and a small compartment opened in his armor on his forearm. He took the small canister and reach for one of his dad's arms. "This'll sting a bit, but it will prevent infection."

"Avengers help when and where we can," he said with a grin.

He moves his arm slowly and carefully. "Armor melted in a couple spots, that'll be the worst of it." he adds, testing just how badly bonded plastic and flesh are, then takes the cannister.

"This a dimensional or time thing?" he guesses. "And what's the tactical situation?"
