"We'll start with the broader one then." He gathers his thoughts, then sits up straight. "You know I kept it quiet when I finished my correspondence stuff for high-school, didn't want anyone making a fuss, but... I've gotten back the responses from the colleges I applied to. I've been looking at chemistry and physics programs so I could learn more about what to do with my powers, and the responses have been great. A couple of them are even offering me full rides...
...but all the best programs are down South. My first choice, if I go anywhere, is in California." He fidgets.
"I just don't know if I should go for it or not... I mean, yeah, I want to do more for the world than just be a crimefighter, but I don't know if I want to be away from the team that much. Even if I loaded all my course-work onto one end of the week, that's still a lot of distance, and..."
He sighs and runs a hand through his hair.
"...and I wish I knew how you always seemed to have everything just... figured out."
