	Gio cannot believe Charlotte was sneaking around the party without anyone running security on her. And she didn't hold with sneaking up on people. But Angelo wasn't armed and.... maybe just this once it was okay to see him get surprised. Maybe. Since it was already happening and she couldn't make it safer at this point. Angelo had actually cornered one of the caterers and was enthusiastically ~~interrogating~~ inquiring of them about various details about the event. Some people might say he let out an alarmed yelp when the hands settled over his eyes. Ignore those people, they are vicious liars. The place was too crowded to teleport anywhere at ground level, and he abruptly changed his grip on the pen he was holding, preparing to drive it into the hands over his eyes before the inevitable chloroform or inhibitor collar could be coming.

Thankfully, Angelo's olfactory recognition works only slightly slower than his training. He recognizes the gingerbread hand lotion he'd gotten Charlotte. He forcibly relaxes his posture.

"Oh... hello, bella." He turns around and smiles, dumbstruck by her all dressed up before he kisses one hand. "Charlotte, we have talked about that..." He blushes furiously.

Angelo manages to recompose himself and excuse himself from the conversation with the caterer. "I'm sorry I let this turn into a research night. I shouldn't have been neglecting you." He apologizes to Charlotte, managing to kiss her on the cheek when he thinks no-one he knows is looking. He's still a bit shy about public displays of affection.

After a moment, he breaks into a grin and holds up his notebook. "I got some really great advice on large table settings and pairing food to decor." The importance of this cannot be underestimated.

As a result of growing up with one very prominent and one reasonably skilled telepath, Angelo had managed to learn to keep one line of speech directed outward, and another in his mind.

Charlotte hears, "Oh.. I... I'm so flattered, Charlotte..." as he smiles.

Whereas Gio will hear, in frantic Italian, //"Charlotte is asking me to move in with her! What do I DO?"//
