Night settled over New York and the Baxter Building at Four Freedoms Plaza was quiet.

Or so it seemed.

In the lab of Reed Richards all was not quiet and something BIG was about to happen.

"Just keep them in one place." A voice comes over Aleron's shoulder as Vincent arrives. "I can thin their numbers a bit faster."

He sets his feet and etches a rune with his finger on his forehead. "Thunder-bringer's fury, take these unworthies with your might!" He extends his hands,and bolts of lightning fly out to the centralized mass, arcing from bug to bug to bug to bug.

"Not bad for your first month, hm?"

	"Yes, this is certainly eventful. Did any come after you?" No longer needing to worry about starting to attack the bugs while keeping up his focus, Aleron makes the area he's focusing on slightly smaller, but that also means that his power over it is greater. "This has to be a portal breach, there's no other way this volume of enemies could have made it inside the building!" Vincent snarls as he sends volley after volley of lightning.

"We're going to have to make a run for it. Stay close to me and protect our rear." Vincent focuses upon his patron of Battles, and conjures an iron staff. He takes a deep breath that seems to stretch and expand the muscles of his body, and then lets out a war-cry. It is a primal shout that conveys one simple message.

I am coming to kill you.

He begins mowing a path for him and Aleron.

Aleron decides that if they're going to make a path he'll do this the easy way. Instead of trying to flatten the bugs he expands his area of influence and instead lightens the gravity effect, having them all hover midair. Perfect, now they couldn't get any traction to move anywhere.

He calmly walks behind Vincent, in contrast to the war-cry, and attacks the bugs as he goes. Mostly through something that looks like karate chopping, he's found that if right before impact he increases the gravity acting on his hand, he can slice through the bugs just fine. It was so much easier when they could only hover and not move.
