At the still point of destruction, at the center of the fury
Charles Xavier, head of the Xavier Institute of Higher Learning and mentor of the X-Men, had been busy in the recent days. Together with an old friend, Erik Lehnsherr, the two of them pushed the anti-human groups into action. Attacks on humans started happening all around New York City.

In Times Square the MLF appeared and started attacking the sea of people in the "Crossroads of the World". They also targeted the nearby Police and fire stations to hinder efforts to control the chaos they were creating.

Down on Wall Street the Brotherhood started attacking the bankers and investment brokers.

Leading the attacks on humans were Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr.

Mutants attacking humans prompted responses from anti-mutant groups such as the Friends of Humanity, the Church of Purity and other pro-human groups.

The streets of New York quickly became a battleground between humans and mutants.

Gio does her best to try to turn to Simon so he can know what she's saying -- once she realizes he's joined them as they head out.

"All right. To find the imposters, we're going to have to go through the mess in Time Square. We take down the aggressors as quick and efficient as we can while remembering -- please, Rikki -- baseline humans can be fragile, and preventing casualties is part of the objective. The enemy wants them hurt; we want them not hurt. Get it?" Gio didn't actually wait for confirmation. "Good." She then makes her way towards the first of the brutes she sees.

	Simon appreciates the effort but doesn't comment on the Rikki bit. Everyone had priorities and Gio was the one who had the best chance here of keeping her from doing anything too drastic. It's been a while since he's had a good fight. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
