Nick can sense it too. Not so much smell it - not his gift, but it doesn't need to be. The hints of those who belong in hell just brings the Rider closer to the surface. Though less obvious than a full transformation, licks of flame begin around the pentagrams on his hand, and his eyes grow more hollow, with their own occasional small licks of flame.
