On The Hunt (Open to Nick)
New Orleans. Not one of Greg's favorite cities. It was usually too warm, too humid and the smells were almost overwhelming. If he could have avoided it he would have, but his prey had come to this cesspool and Greg had no choice but to follow.

A vampire had left a trail of corpses in Seattle and Greg had gotten close. The vampire fled and Greg had tracked him to New Orleans following the corpses the vampire left in his wake.

Greg stood outside the club he had seen the vampire enter earlier and waited for him to come back out.

Unknown to Greg, someone watched him and had set a trap for Greg to walk into.

	Nick tends far more towards the pool hall and biker bar atmosphere over the club scene - but something is drawing him here. He can feel the Rider near the surface, leading him on to... something. What, he isn't sure - but following this way when he knows its supernatural evil of some sort lets him get closer without causing a panic or alerting his prey. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Greg leaned up against a building and lit up a cigarette. He was patient enough to wait for the blood sucker to come out.

A breeze blew and Greg smelled the hint of sulfur on it. That was never a good sign. He tossed the cigarette on the ground and ground it out with a heel. He looked around.

Tourists passed by him and a myriad of smells assaulted his sense of smell. Still above it all he could smell sulfur. It grew stronger. Greg looked around at the people passing by, but then something caused him to look up. He could see red glowing eyes looking down at him. Demons. He'd bet money on it.

	Nick can sense it too. Not so much smell it - not his gift, but it doesn't need to be. The hints of those who belong in hell just brings the Rider closer to the surface. Though less obvious than a full transformation, licks of flame begin around the pentagrams on his hand, and his eyes grow more hollow, with their own occasional small licks of flame. 	With everything else around, the werewolf - and basically a good guy - doesn't even register. The transformation accelerates, fire spreading, and the soft growl of the bike rising in pitch as the wheels light. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The werewolf jumped from the ground and landed on the roof of the two story building right next to one of the demons. He howled and attacked. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Seeing the two, recognizing both types, the Rider lashes out with a chain towards the one with the flaming sword. He pays the werewolf little regard, aside from noting that they seem to have the same enemies - which in no way makes them allies, of course. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Claws grasped at the demon as it tried to toss the werewolf aside. It held on and sank claws deeper into the demon. The werewolf attacked with teeth. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The chain wraps around the demon's sword, but the demon is strong enough to hang on. "You won't defeat me so easily, Rider!" The sword lit up even hotter in both intensity, and in an almost palpable aura of sick evil. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The chain begins reeling back into the Rider's hand, trying to either disarm the demon - or, if he wants to keep his grip, bring the demon in closer. The hellfire forged links heat up, but show no sign of weakening. Predictably, there's no response to the demon's taunts. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The fur on Greg's body starts to burn and it hurts, but it also makes the werewolf angrier. He tries to rip the demon apart with claws and teeth. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The demon snarled as he squared his feet to halt Nick's progress. "Fine," the other demon snarled. He released the sword suddenly, but opened his mouth, unleashing a ball of green fire at Nick. This was clearly a very different type of flame as the roof below it seemed to decay a little. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Nick dives out of the worst, part of his jacket disintegrating under the green flame onslaught, a bit of the exposed bone scarred as well. Definitely not normal flame. He lifts the hand not holding the chain, lashing back with a blast of balefire in turn. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Before he could crow over the small victory of actually singing Nick, the demon is driven back by Nick's own flames. It roars in anger as its demonic flesh is singed. It doesn't speak as it opens its mouth wider, unleashing a greater torrent of the green flame. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Trying to stay away from its associate's fight and its surrounding backlashes, the darker demon is also trying to deal with the fact that the werewolf is really getting somewhere and neither throwing, burning, nor slamming seems to having any effect on the demon's situation whatsoever. It's getting a bit screechy and flaily and desperate now as as it struggles to get away from this thing.

	This time, the Rider has a little more time to react. His off-hand comes up, meeting flaming blast with flaming blast. The other end of his chain still around the sword, the length of chain gets more slack and a lash, trying to cut off the fire by winding it around the demon's neck. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The pain reached the point where Greg couldn't handle any more and his grip on the demon slipped. The demon's struggling sent him crashing into the roof. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The demon's forced to close it's mouth as the chain wrapped around its neck. Technically it didn't need to breathe, but it was still painful as it tried to loosen the chain's grip. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
