Cornerman (Meme response)
The bell sounded for the end of the day's matches at the gladiatoral games on Hala. Alex had sponsored Azura's entrance, so he was also responsible for her care. The tournament rules were very strict on how much aid a given combatant could receive. His girlfriend His friend His teammate had managed to avoid a direct beating that day, but he'd rarely seen her move that fast for that long without the Time Gem's aid. She must be exhausted. He meets her as she exits her ring, tossing her a towel.

"Come on champ. I've got something in mind for you."

Azura thought about it for a few moments. "A nice beach somewhere, warm water to swim in and lots of booze."

"I'll see if I can round up a pair of cabana shorts and a bowtie." He smirks, moving to her other thigh. "How's Abe doing riding shotgun for the tournament? Never really understood how much strain transfers between you two."

"He moans and bitches all the time. Thinks it's senseless."

"I am communing with the universe... I am sensing... that Abe is yelling at you in your mind now." Alex smirks, kneading out the knots in her muscles underneath his hands.

"Just be careful, okay? I'm exceptionally used to having you around."

"I can imagine." He bends her leg upwards and works on her foot, rotating it gently as he tests her ankle. "After I finish your legs, should I work on your front?" He looks back at her over his shoulder, raising an eyebrow.

He breaks into a wide grin, as he finishes her leg and sets it down. He turns around and rises up on his knees to give her enough room to flip over.

"Yes ma'am."
