Work Therapy (open)
Tim had taken a week off after he had been rescued and it helped clear his head. He had argued that he was fine and wanted to get back in the lab, but they forced him to take a week off. As soon as he was allowed back in his lab he got back to work. Work was the best way for him to deal with what happened and to move on.

He /did/ have a lot to catch up on and had eagerly thrown himself at it.

"I'm fine," he assured her. "Outside of the normal insanity. But while I was being held I thought I was done for once we finished the project and I realized that there are somethings I shouldn't put off any longer."

Tim took a deep breath and prepared to put his heart out there and put everything on the line.

"I'm in love with you and have been since the first day I saw you with those pigtails."

Sammy's mouth opened. Then closed.

Then opened again.

And closed.

Shocked? Oh, a lot.

She took a step back. "I...don't know what to say, so I'm not going to say anything at this moment. I'll be back to get you for dinner. Okay?"

It wasn't a bad reaction, but it wasn't a positive one either. He'd take it.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to drop that bomb on you. Yeah, I'll be here when you're ready to go."

"Yeah, but don't apologize." Sammy gently tugged herself out of his grip and made her way to the door. It was a testament to her shocked state that she didn't 'disappear' as she usually did.

"I'll see you later."
