Monthly Family Dinner
Misha almost opted out of the family dinner, but a) he didn't have a note from Saint Peter and b) Anya probably already knew he turned another armor suit into a cracked sculpture. The way he was going through suits, two this year alone, any income he might get in the future from the Renn Tech stock was probably earmarked to pay for them. Besides, he owed Nick a monkey dance and Mom an update on what was going on.

He showed up with chocolates for Mom and Anya, a bunch of bananas for Nick, and the damaged armor in a duffel.

"Hey now. A Stark is never late. He or she always brings the party with them." Tony said sagely as he hugged Anya.

He shook Misha's hand and nodded. "I'm glad you're all doing well. Perhaps you'll both talk your brother into not giving your mother such a hard time? I mean, I'm the only person allowed to give her a hard time. It's kind of why she married me. That and my excellent fashion sense. Oh and because we go together like...two things that really go together well." Tony grinned.

	"I'm starving, too. Let's eat." Tony said, taking Tasha's hand so they could head inside the restaurant. He wanted to everyone to see him with his family as they were thing he was most proud of. 	Anya was a little confused herself. What bug crawled up Misha's butt tonight? It was a plain fact that Mom took them to different places than Logan took Misha. What was the big deal? "No, they won't but they're definitely going to try." Tony said, trying to steer the conversation away from discussion of Logan. Those discussions never went well and this was a family night.

He was going to have to tell all of them very soon but Tony was resisting it. In his mind, he'd always be Iron Man but his body spoke a different story. The aches and pains he'd gained over the years had accumulated and, combined with his age, were cutting into his life with his family. The armor had always been a part of his life with Anya and now Eddie was growing up hearing stories of Iron Man.

Tony knew it was time to hang it up but he still needed to steel himself for it.

"So what's everyone having tonight? I'm in the mood for steak. I'm sure that all of you are just shocked by that sentiment." Tony joked.

"Yes, Mom, you're too late," Anya said agreeing with her older brother. "It's in the handbook that we have to be bad influences on him."

"Busy," she answered her father. "I have more meetings than hours in the day. Sunny, the wonderful godsend he is, keeps my life organized and somehow manages to squeeze in time into my schedule for Buck and for family. We have about a dozen new contracts for ZPEMs coming. The factory in Genosha is almost complete. I have some talks with the ESA and NASA coming up to talk about integrating ZPE with their propulsion systems. I suspect that if they go well I'll have other space agencies interested. I just got done writing new database software and it's going to hit the market soon. Gates is still after my OS. I just bought myself a new place her in New York for when I'm in town and I suspect I have some armor to repair for my brother if reports are at all accurate. Buck also mentioned taking me camping soon, which we all know how well that's going to go."

"Misha, Anya's a busy young woman. She's got a lot on her plate and I don't think fixing your armor is the thing to add to that." Tony said evenly.

Now was the moment he'd been dreading but, suddenly, it felt like the best idea in ages. It felt right.

"Misha, I think it's time you stopped wearing that armor...and started wearing a new set of armor.

I think it's time /you/ became Iron Man." Tony told him.
