Dates in the training room

They usually did dates out, and while he knew she enjoyed them, Brandr also knew that sometimes Svalin liked a good spar. Add in that this training room was fascinating with all the possibilities it could create and well, there was no reason not to use it for a sparring date of sorts. Though he'd had to get help when putting together this scenario.

He'd asked her if she was available that evening, and suggested they meet at the training room. So upon seeing her, he smiled brightly and bowed. He was wearing his leather gear, but only that layer and none of the extra ones on top, and it was worn in a casual manner, with the top not completely done up. "I art glad ye couldst come milady." Though he used 'milady' and was bowing, his whole tone was quite informal and charming and very distinctly not his 'on duty' way of speaking.

	The Balrog put its massive strength behind his attack, as he pushed the flaming sword, which flared up, against Vigfrior. Brandr had gone around to the other side, his sword hitting the Balrog's leg to try and keep its attention divided and prevent it from using its full strength and focus on Svalin. 	Svalin strained against the attack, using the strength in her legs to keep from buckling under. The heat was intense and she was already sweating, but the flames didn't burn her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	At Brandr's sword strike, the Balrog roared and swung its arm to try swatting the offending Asgardian away. Brandr jumped back and ducked under the swing, but in doing so the beast had let off the pressure on Svalin and had put its concentration elsewhere. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Svalin didn't waste the opportunity presented before her. She pulled Vigfrior back and took a swing at the balrog, putting all of her strength into it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Again, the beast's attention switched once her blade hit, and the Balrog swung the flaming blade wildly at her this time. Taking advantage of the pingpong attention switching happening, Brandr moved behind the Balrog and struck the back of its knees full force while it swung at Svalin. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The balrog fell to one knee, but that was still not enough to prevent it from swinging again at Svalin's shield. And again, trying to break it down. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Svalin, now on one knee, kept the shield up and it took the blow from the balrog. She swung her sword, but it was an awkward angle and there wasn't much behind it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

While the Balrog has decided to focus on her, Brandr comes from behind and uses his full strength to try and drive his sword into the back of the Balrog's sword arm as Svalin's sword hits. The beast roars as the sword stabs into its joint and it throws its arm back to try and shake off the asgardian with a sword in its arm. The thrashing hits Brandr and throws him off, thankfully with sword still in hand and the Balrog whirls, turning its attention to the new target.

The flaming sword becomes a flaming whip and it pulls back its arm, ready to strike.

	The flaming whip came down right by him as Brandr moved out of the way, feeling the blazing heat get too close for his liking. The Balrog drew back its arm to strike again as Svalin's blade found its mark and it roared in pain again. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Again it roared in pain and swung its whip hand around to try and hit the offending Asgardian. Brandr got to his feet again and rushed forward while the Balrog was distracted. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Svalin quickly put the shield up to block the blow, but it was a second too late and the blow caught her on the arm. It caused her a lot of pain and made her take a few steps back. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The Balrog staggered forward to follow up on its successful attack and try and bring its fist down on the blonde asgardian, but roared in protest as the other one came from behind to take another stab at the whip hand. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The beat unfurled its hand and tried to grab the blonde Asgardian. A claw went through Svalin's leg and she yelled. She took a swing at the thing's hand. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Between Svalin's swing and Brandr's stab in about the same area, the Balrog's hand was nearly lopped off and clearly wouldn't be of much use now. Brandr brought his sword down again to finish that arm. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The arm came off, but that seemed to only anger the beast more as it flared, spewing flames and heat, and brought down its remaining fist on Brandr, catching him and smashing him to the ground. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Brandr was already getting to his feet after being smashed down, sword in hand and ready for the next swing when the simulation fades.

He casually leaned against against his sword as he caught his breath. "Hmm, it seems Lady Sydney had a point when she said not to put the difficulty to the highest. Well, I shalt have to figure this room out some more before we test it next."

	"A moment milady," he said quickly before rushing off to get one of the towels on the side set aside for post worrk-out needs. "If you'd permit me?" He smiled and offered a hand to help her ease down to the floor so he could use the towel to stem the flow of blood. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
