Moonlight Sonata
It had been almost a week since Dolemeck and Tyler had moved into their new apartment complex. Being as it was already furnished, they did not need to bring in any of the furniture from the old place, or do much decorating. But that did not stop Dolemeck from working on his own room. He had put up pictures of the people who mattered to him on the walls. His parents, his cousin Derek Woo, a picture of himself and Argo on a boat, and even a picture of himself and Tyler in Germany, with their tour guide Gerta.

Just a she was about to put up another picture, there was a knock on the door of the apartment. He placed down the picture frame that was in his hands and went to go open the door.

"Well, I could give you the tour. Though I am doubt Tyler wants anyone in his room without his permission." He moved back into the kitchen after toying with the plant a bit to make sure it was in a good spot to get enough sun. He started to take out a frying pan and gently placed his hands on Jo's shoulders to move her away from the fridge to start taking out some ingredients to make her a decent meal.

"You can have a seat in the dinning area if you wish, or perhaps you would like to sit in the living area and watch some TV?"

	"Well, I didn't want to look until you brought it up." Jo smirks, glancing around as he puts his hands on her. "Mister Night... my word." She gives him a wry look as she lets him move her out of the way. "I'm good where I am." She leans against a wall and watches him work. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"That is the first time someone called me that." he confessed as he took out some chicken, some lemons, and a few vegetables. He begins to clean off the lemons and veggies in the skin, before getting out the cutting bored. "I am sorry if I offended you. I should have asked before putting my hands on you."

The way Dolemeck cut and peeled vegetables with only a knife would have some thinking he was a professionally trained chef. He would pour some oil into the frying pan and begin to saute the vegetables, before cutting the chicken into strips and adding it in.

"The look on your face... when I touched you..."

"I thought you were... nevermind." He shakes his head, making sure everything is sauteed, seasoned, and fully cooked before grabbing two plates from the cabinet next to the store. He placed equaled servings of the food on the plates, took the pan off the stove, turned it off, then carried them over to the dinning table for himself and Jo. He even pulled out a chair for her to sit in.

"Here you go. I hope you like the meal." There was another small, yet weak smile on his face as he waited for Jo to take her seat, before pushing the chair back in and taking his own seat.

"It is nothing. I thought you were frightened of me was all." he offered her another smile, looking at her hand upon his wrist. "I was just concerned, was all. I did not wish you to think I was going to do you harm, Miss Jo."

Once her grasp lessened on his hand, he returned it to his side and went to go sit down across from Jo to eat. There were already napkins and silverware on the table, and they were neatly set up. Dolemeck took the napkin from under his fork and knife and placed it on his lap.

	"Oh please. You're not scary." She rolls her eyes. "And even besides the freakshow stuff, I can take care of myself. I'm no damsel, Dolemeck." As if to emphasize her point, she tucks her napkin into her collar, rather than laying it over her lap. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"I understand you are no damsel, Miss Jo." He shook his head as he began to eat his meal. "But I am still part demon, as far as anyone knows. And that can scare some people." 	"Busy. Two jobs, and a couple performance gigs I've been chasing. Not easy living alone, even in a modest place. Might look for a place with a roommate, or ask if Rita's interested. "That is quite a lot of work!" Dolemeck looked clearly shocked by how much work Jo did. "If you ever need a place to stay, perhaps there is something that can be arrange here."

He took another bite, not speaking about himself until asked to. "Aye, instruments can be quite expensive. And we can not risk your better instruments getting broken as they are needed for battle!"

	She shrugs. "It's the life of a struggling artist. Just paying my dues." She raises an eyebrow. "Appreciate the offer, but I don't want to intrude on your social life. "Me? Well... I am still working at Starbucks making drinks for patrons. I also have been modeling for this apartment complex for flyers and ads. It was part of a deal to knock down to the price of the rent and security deposit."

He smiled a little, taking another bite of food. he waited until he was finished chewing and his mouth was not full to speak again.

"When I do have free-time, I tend to work on some wood carvings or travel to New Orleans for a few days. I am also reading books on bird care, as I wish to own one as a pet one day."

"Thank you. I am not sure if I want a career in modeling, though. But if it makes others happy, I may consider doing it long term." He grinned a little.

"Well, it is a bit hard to describe what I carve. If I had to guess, i would say it is... folk art." Dolemeck admitted. "I carve out pictures of various adventures I have been on or depictions of heaven and hell. It was something I used to do in my era and was good at. Right now, I am working on a flute, as I just finished a pipe."

"Thank you, Miss Jo. But I wish to not give Tyler anymore of a headache than I do now." He could only imagine what practicing a musical instrument could do.

"Tyler is a good man, and I put him through enough quite frankly. I am making efforts to become more independent and knowledgeable of this era, however. This way... he will not be as stressed and I will not be so much trouble."

	"Tyler seems to have pretty thick skin, I wouldn't worry about it. You want to come hang out with me sometime? I could expand your horizons a bit. I'm hitting a few open-mic nights, and I still set up in the park every now and then, although probably not for too much longer. Holy crap, I didn't know winters like this existed. "It will depend on the night." He wanted to keep what he did at night a secret for a bit, but worried that his lack of an explanation might make him come off as though he were trying to avoid Jo. "I am attending Night school for a GED. I do not get released from my classes until close to ten o'clock at night."

Her shock over winter made him raise an eyebrow in concern, before dabbing his mouth with a napkin. "Miss Jo, will you be needing a fur to keep yourself warm? I am sure I can go into the forests outside of the city and find something for you to wear to keep you warm!"

"Oh. Well, good for you! Let me know if you want someoen to help you study. Allegedly, I'm an educated adult. Music school still counts." She shrugs, with a lazy half-smile.

"Uhh... that's... sweet, but I don't wear fur. Which I know, sounds hypocritical, since I still wear leather, but there we go anyway. It's okay, crowds are less outside during the winter anyway. I'll just have to work a little harder to find a cafe or something that's okay with me playing."

"Oh... I forgot some frown upon fur in this era." He was still dumbfounded by the concept, but reminded himself that times had changed. "Perhaps I can get you a warmer coat? Or I can see about having you perform at my store? It is quite warm, and I would buy you coffee to keep you warm on the inside!"

Dolemeck soon stood up, taking his napkin and empty plate back to the kitchen. He threw out the napkin in the trash, and then began to wash his utensils and plate in the sink.

"Thank you for your offer of help with my schoolwork, Miss Jo. If I find myself stuck, I shall take you up on the offer."

	"That could be nice. What's your store like?" She tilts her head slightly. "You really don't have to fuss over me this much..." Is he trying to flirt with me? "Cool. Trust me. School sucks, but it'll help you. Once you get your GED, you should try taking some local community college classes. Just to get the social experience, even if the knowledge isn't much." "I am told it is one of the "nicer" Starbucks stores in the area. It has a lot of space, is quite warm, and sometimes we do manage to have performers come in." He continued to smile as he washed the dish in the sink. "I will simply talk to my manager about the matter. I am sure he would not object to you performing there."

"As for school "sucking", it is not that bad. I am actually enjoying myself quite a bit. I feel more accomplished and quite happy. I just wished my friend Argo would join in on the pursuit of education." He chuckled a little. "But he enjoys the "finer" things in life. Mostly women and drink."
