Cordially Invited (set November 14th)
The morning of Saturday, November 14 dawned. With the whole Fantastic Four family there, the chairs and a few minor decorations for the empty 29th floor of the Baxter building were easily set up. The rest of the guests would be arriving soon, Cassandra's friends among the Avengers.

Jennifer Walters had been kind enough to recommend the judge. Their license was in order. The bride was with the maid of honor and there was no word of any problems at the moment.

By noon, Cassandra would be his, officially. Scotty, too, to an extent.
If any outsider prevented that, Kristoff was not absolutely certain he could keep himself from ...a display of excessively bad manners.

Of course, the most primary of traditional duties is keeping an eye on the soon-to-be husband. And when Vincent makes his way back to him,
"It is exceptionally convenient that the standard New York civil ceremony does not include a point for the voicing of objections. Far too much of an invitation."

It's not as if he really expects Kristoff to be a flight risk, else he'd have tethered him to the nearest available fixture.

"If there were any objections to be had, I don't think they'd be ones waiting for such an implicit verbal cue." Vincent shrugs, then fixes his brother with a meaningful look. "You're an exceptionally lucky man, phral." He pats the meaningful bulge of the rings' box in his vest pocket. "All will be well."

Kristoff returns the look with a substantial smile. "Yes, I know. And I certainly hope so. Respectively."

Vincent paused, raising both eyebrows. "I'm sorry, did you think I was just giving you a customary empty reassurance? I was informing you. Everything will be well. A room full of Earth's mightiest, and most importantly in this instance, myself, will be seeing to it."

Yes Kristoff, in his high-handed way, your little brother loves you very much.

His expression softens. "Hope is unnecessary, but you are still welcome to it, if you insist." He then grins lightly. "Save your worrying for being a father, and sharing your living space."

Kristoff smiles an sighs slightly.

"That, of course," he says good-naturedly at the last part, "Can be taken as a given." But Kristoff's customary neuroses were still experiencing the extreme mitigating effects of Cassandra's reassurance, weeks ago, that he absolutely was not any sort of back-up option. Devel, that still felt so good.

"Just do me one small favor in return brother... don't particularly throw the garter in my direction. I'm game for the tradition for tradition's sake, but... ah.. well, you know how Andrea can read into things a bit intensely."

For anyone who knew him, this was about as close as Vincent came to blushing and stammering, as it was, he seemed only vaguely unsettled to the untrained eye.

"You have my word, Vincent; I have no intention of any such thing."
