Sister Bonding
Anya spent the week studying for her finals next week and when she needed a break, she cleaned. While she wasn't in James' caliber of messy, she wasn't exactly neat. Clothes and electronic parts usually littered the studio apartment. Anya didn't do laundry and she kept forgetting to go to the dry cleaners.

By the end of the week, the place was relatively cleaned up as in one could actually sit on the couch or sleep in the bed. Anya usually slept in her chair at her desk. Dirty laundry was in a pile in the corner and the electronic parts were moved to one side of the apartment.

Friday night came and Eliza would be here soon. Anya ordered a few pizzas and studied while she waited for her sister to arrive.

"Awesome," Eliza flashes a grin. Then touches her hair. "I like wearing green sometimes but it seems a little much. Maybe I'll find something nice in blue or something. I'm tempted to repeat on something I worse before since it made Cait's brother smile."

Eliza pauses and blushes or a second. "I had fun with him. Cait trained him for public well."

Anya shook her head. "You cannot wear the same dress to another function. It's against the rules." She nodded firmly. "New dress. New shoes. Spa trip before hand."

"Oh? Do I detect some liking here?"

"But... Fine. I know better anyways. I can wear them again for dates but not for parties," Eliza agrees. She shrugs off the fact it seems kind of wasteful.

"A little? He's a nice guy," Eliza admits. "I just got over my not letting myself get attached to people complex. And he was interesting unlike the bubble heads I ran into there."

"It's all about image," Anya said. "You can always wear dresses for Avenger parties. No media there."

"You don't go to those parties to meet interesting people. Misha says he's quite the prankster, though seeing how his dad is Bobby Drake, it's not surprising."

She rolls her eyes. "I guess I just don't enjoy being 'seen' like that."

Eliza sighs just a bit. "I know. But at the same time does that mean I have to pretend to be interested in what they're saying? Some of them are pretty bad at talking."

By that she means they don't know how to widen conversation topics.

Anya giggled. "You are so in the wrong family for that. I grew up in the media eye and will always be in it. Mom being royalty just added to it."

"I didn't have to do this much at home. Just the one charity thing then hang out with the Avengers," she says with a chuckle. "Dad hated getting in a tux more than a couple times a year. Mom liked dressing up though."

Eliza thinks about it. "So like stupid people? Normal stupid I mean."

"It's part of being a Stark and in the family," Anya said. "I guess the Black Widow likes dressing up no matter what dimension she's from."

Anya smiled. "Something like that."

She chuckles and shrugs. "I guess I should follow your lead in that respect. I'm okay at the dressing up part but sometimes I need to follow someone's lead when it comes to other stuff."

Eliza laughs. "Hope you went for meat covered. I love unhealthy food and meat."

She had a weakness for olives too but that wasn't too weird.

"Nope. I... had problems letting myself get close to people," she chew a bite of pizza thoughtfully.

"I don't know why I suddenly just broke down and let myself be normal. Just did." She wasn't going to say it was so they wouldn't worry about her.

"It's genetic," Anya said. "The Romanova side. We don't trust easily or get close to people."

"There's nothing wrong with normal." Anya grabbed a bite from her pizza. She's family. They're always going to worry.

She agrees with that. "And Dad doesn't trust easy either. I guess you get a double header too since Tony has to be careful."

She nibbles at her slice. "Yeah. Just took me a while to think I would be here for good. I don't think I'll get back to my original world. I'll just be optimistic that the team took the chance I gave 'em."

"I know. It can't be easy being uprooted and tossed into a new dimension. Sarah went through the same thing as you're going through. I know it's not much comfort, but I'm glad you're here for however long you're here. I've always wanted a sister."

"I wish I had met Sarah," Eliza says. "I'm happy here. I wanted siblings but Mom and Dad were just never ready to have more kids and Mom didn't want to risk it either since with me she had trouble."

She gives Anya a fond look. "I'm happy to be here with you guys since everything is more... lively. I miss home but I'll be okay here."

Anya smiled. "What was your world like? What were the Avengers like? Did you leave someone special behind? What was Mom like?" Anya had a million questions, but tried to limit it.

"Let's see... There was a May Parker on our team. She and I were joined at the hip. It drove Dad nuts since he and Mr Parker were never that close and we used to have prank wars as kids," she starts. "The X-Men suffer a lot more. Jean Grey was dead and Cyclops took up with the White Queen. They had two little girls. We had a boy name Kento who was the adopted son of Iron Fist and Misty Knight. He was amazing at fighting. We had just started to try dating. He was a sweet guy."

For a moment she looks a little sad. She misses her old team. "Mom was still working for SHIELD. Just not full time. She was more of a liaison between the Avengers and SHIELD she was also our adult adviser for the Young Avengers. She and Steve had us training every Saturday like the Steve here does. The last time I trained with them Mom thought that our team was in perfect sync with each other mostly. We jut understood and trusted each other totally."
