Mason nods. "Dad just always told me to stick with Jordie and we'd manage whatever happens. Not like either of us is easy to put in a cage anyway." He pauses. "But that's really negative thinking and borderline paranoid... so, moving on then." He clears his throat, then bites his lip.
"Okay, honestly speaking... that news is kind of a buzz-kill, even as nice as this whole date is, so... how about a leisurely stroll around the mall, then we head back?" He smiles hopefully. "You can tell me some stuff about yourself."
