There’s Always Another Wound to Discover
Anya took a deep breath and knocked on the door to her sister's room. This wasn't going to be easy, but it had to be done. She had to talk to Eliza. It would be better coming from her than Eliza finding out about it in another way. Anya just wished she didn't feel like she was about to destroy the bond she had with her sister.

"I... I know? I mean I'm happy you told me. It's just not something I want to think about," Eliza says with a slight blush. "I've never even slept with someone before. And I wasn't even interested in him until I wasn't in shock over being here. It took me months to be okay with dating because I was afraid of letting go of home."

Se tugs her legs up close to her body. "He's great too. You know? I feel safe with him. Like it's okay that I gave up on going back because I have other possibilities outside of the... the bonds I'm forming with you guys here."

She doesn't want to be angry at either of them.

"Yeah, I can imagine. If you for some reason start dating Halbjorn, one of the Defenders...." She offered her sister a small smile along with a glass of vodka. "I wish I could make this easier for you."

Anya took a sip from her glass. "He is great. Very sweet and yes, he makes a person feel really safe. I want the two of you to be happy and not have this be an issue."

"Well he is cute," Eliza teases. Then takes the vodka getting ready to either nurse it or down it.

"I don't think I'm bothered. Shocked that we have such similar taste. But it's like this. I wasn't ready to be interested in him before. Now I am interested in him and you're just his friend. So I don't think I'm mad," Eliza explains.

"I'm glad. Really glad. I love having a sister and would hate for my indiscretions to come between us." Anya sat down next go her. "Boys come and go, but sisters, family, are definitely more important."

"Of course," Eliza says before downing the vodka in one go. "If it came between any of you guys or him... I'd choose you. As much as I want to claim I can be loyal to a guy.... Family first."

She knows it's true. Her family comes before anything. "And next time... if there is which I totally doubt since you're in love with Steve right now, don't be shy. I'll listen to you and be fair. Your my sister. That means a lot to me."

Anya nodded and downed the rest of her vodka. "Yes. Family first. Always." She smiled and hugged her sister. "Love you, girl."
