Pyxis wasn't sure if Rider or Walden had gotten word about what had been happening. But, after three intense discussions with Snape over the last two days, he'd decided it was time to let her go. Go. In the letter that had been delivered to her that morning, it had explained that she would still be living near the facility, in a flat paid for by her own family, but that it was somewhat of an assisted living. Where nurses would come visit her often.

And to top it all off, Rider was going to be living with her. On a monitored basis with a cuff around his ankle. She stared at the letter for a long time, before she'd even decided to go to Rider. They had to take baby classes together and everything.

She stood at his door, terrified, wondering what Walden was going to think. And then knocked on Rider's door.

	"First of all, where would I get access to a printer?" Pyxis asked with a snort, taking a seat on Rider's bed. She looked up at him and let out a shaking breath, still feeling anxious about everything happening. "But, no. It's not a joke." Pyxis shook her head. Rider snorted. "Yeah," he said. "Because when someone tells me they're going to let me out of the hospital I've been in for years the first thing I think about is the sex I might have."

He shook his head. "I fucked people in here. Not recently, but before. There's a lot of other stuff I haven't done in forever. Just... fuck." Rider looked down at Pyxis. "You don't seem excited."

Rider looked at Pyxis for a moment. "I can't promise I'm not going to shag you," he told her. "I haven't yet, but one day I might just... change my mind and go for it. That's how my decision making process works."

He shifted closer to her, running a hand along her arm. "I won't rape you, though. I like you. I like the idea of being free. You'll just have to resist. If you can't, maybe you don't belong out there."

	Pyxis looked back at Rider and laughed bitterly. "I wish I could blame my attraction to you on the fact that I'm mental. But, that's not it at all. "Probably," Rider said, shrugging. "You might not want to be this close to me when he comes in to talk to us about... whatever he's going to talk to us about. Me not fucking your brains out when we move in together."

Walden cleared his throat from the doorway, holding the file Snape had sent him about Pyxis and Rider being transferred to out-patient care. "That's not actually what I want to talk to you about."

	Pyxis looked up when Walden came into the room. Immediately, she pulled away from Rider and stood up, looking up at him. All of the fear came rushing back immediately. "Hey.." "Why would I be mad?" Walden asked. He glanced at Rider and then moved over to Pyxis, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close to his chest. He looked down at her and smiled. "This is great news, Pyxis. You're going to be out of the hospital. I'll be able to take you out and show you off to my friends." He kissed her softly. "You can meet my mother."

Rider rolled his eyes at Pyxis and Walden cuddling each other and leaned back against his pillows. "You're not going to take her to meet our dad? Dunno that I blame you. As far as I know, he's a prick."

	Pyxis closed her eyes and leaned into Walden for a moment. He wasn't angry with her. She kissed him softly, her fingers brushing against her cheek, but then she was laughing at Rider's comment. "Of course," Walden said, touching Pyxis's cheek and kissing her again. He wasn't sure how he felt about Rider and his father being in a house with Pyxis, but he'd probably be invited too. "You're getting out of here. Even if you weren't my girlfriend I'd be happy for you, but you are, so I'm thrilled."

Walden smiled down at her. "I should tell you about what your schedule is going to be like outside. You're going to have regular doctor's visits and you and Rider are both going to come here for therapy sessions once or twice a week." He tucked a bit of hair behind her ear. "Your brother arranged the flat for you."

"You can take one if you'd like, but you're not recovering from an eating disorder so we're not going to make you take them," Walden said, smiling at Pyxis. "You just need to go to your therapy and keep up with your medication." He kissed her softly, then looked up at Rider.

"Your situation is a bit more complicated," he told him. "Your monitoring anklet will mean you're on a 100 metre leash around the building. It's about building up trust and proving you can live a stable life. Your medication might be increased for the first few weeks, to help you through the transition, and then we'll work on getting you enrolled in classes and transitioned back into ordinary life. You'll be on a curfew as well."

Rider shrugged. "Fine," he said. "I don't really care as long as I get to get out of here for a while."

Walden laughed softly. "You could go today if you don't want to wait for Rider to get set up. The tracking company is coming tomorrow to attach his anklet. Maybe I could help you move in today and then tomorrow you can come back and help Rider?" Walden wanted to get her alone.

Rider knew Walden was jealous of him. It would probably be in his best interests to convince the other man that he should be. "You should go," he told Pyxis. "You can make sure there's real good when I get there tomorrow."
