So you've met a sibling from another reality.

Plot their demise or try to get to know them better?

::sigh:: Accept their apology for allowing matters to escalate, and try to talk, perhaps?

Perhaps with you?

But him? He should know better. Magic is not something to be tossed about like what he did. What I did to the police was harmless.

What he did could have been fatal.

Taking the obvious stipulation that I do not condone your initial actions as a given, I very much agree he jumped to reckless excesses, and I regret that.

I'm not sure I regret it entirely though. I know what kind of person he is now.

I've never been one for plotting demises. Never was responsible for any demises that took more than a second to 'plan'.

Getting to know new siblings better is verrry awkward sometimes, though. "Oh. So you're my sister? And the bloke who shot me, that's your husband, is it?.....Nice to meet you?"

I would much prefer to plan it out slowly. Family means I should try to be more forgiving I suppose.

I'm not sure how I would try getting to know them anyways. They know me now as "That guy who just tried to take over New York City". It was a knee jerk reaction to my situation, I could argue but I don't think any of us would believe that.

Oh, it's not hopeless, really. All my sister knew me as was "That thing who could have destroyed the world, and it makes Mum cry to think about it," and we all get on well enough now, so really, you've probably got options.

Hmm. You're probably right. It wouldn't happen right away of course. Maybe not for months. I refuse to change who I am for his sake.

But I can tone things down so we can talk without trying to put each other through walls in the future.

It all depends on which side of the family they're from. If it's on my mother's, she takes them in and it makes plotting their demise a little difficult. If it's my father's, he takes them in and makes plotting their demise downright dangerous to my health.

Besides, they're not bad. So far they've been pretty darn good.

Ah. Then they have good reasons not to attack first. I can't imagine parents who take responsibility allowing repluser blasts upon meeting each other.

Have any of them questioned your motives when you are obviously a product of your upbringing? My 'little brother' did not react well to me at all.

As long as we follow the no-maiming rule, we're free to work all our problems out in the Institute's Danger Room or the Avengers' training room.

As for motives, it isn't my family if my motives aren't questioned. I'm told to mind my own business on a regular basis.

It's the no killing rule. Maiming is fine as long as it's not permanent.

It's not permanent for me, but I have to be careful with the others, Mom. It could be for them.

Ah. That's very controlled.

I ended up in a battle over New York City after meeting my younger brother. It was very classic when it came to where he is and who I was trying to be at that moment.

My little brother is from another dimension. He's not so bad. I think I'll keep him.

If you could just display some civility, and a reasonably consuming amount of hatred for your father, things could have gotten off to a much better start.

Hmmmph. I was quite civil until you decided to attack.

I do not hate Father. I question his motives and abilities at times. I am also reasonably paranoid when it comes to him. Do you want me to lie to you Vincent? That would be an insult to your intelligence which I will not allow.

You turned a number of public defenders into little animals. I call that uncivil, as well as distasteful.

Some people just can't see him for what he is... you're not the first, but I sincerely hope you're the last, for this world's sake.

But make no mistake, this world, and certainly this city, are my territory to protect, especially from 'family'.

He is no tyrant or monster Vincent. I don't know what your Father was like but mine was not what you seem to assume he was.

Yes. He did terrible things. But it was for Latvaeria's sake. Have you not done things for the greater good?

It is how I ended up here. Anyways. What I did to the police was harmless. Had I been asked more kindly than you treated me I would have reversed the spell. A simple matter.

But you can not see past your hatred. I pity you for that Vincent. I really do.

Man I would love a sibling...preferably a brother... even if they were from another reality.

Though considering my family tree...."Approach with caution" and "be ready to kick their butts if evil" are good options. I'd still try to get them t be good so I could get to know them better though

You get to know your sibling and maybe find out that she likes Jazz, the way you do. Or Chipotle.

Being an only child my whole life, I'd rather keep my kid sister. She's pretty cool.
