Names
They story goes that names -- their meanings, their personal significance in a family -- can end up having influence on a person. What do you think?

Couldn't say, myself. If I'd been a boy, Mom wanted to name me after my grandfather, Vernon Van Dyne. Dad just wanted 'Something French.' So they went with Vernique. French and before that Greek for Bringer of Victory. Same etymology as the name Bernice, so some would say I lucked out in that I didn't end up named Bernie.

I certainly like it.

I was named Casey after my father’s father as is custom for first born sons and my middle name Tadhg means bard or storyteller.

I don't think anyone can top Tadhg. That's just neat.

Thanks I really like it too. It pronunciated TIYG for those who are having trouble figuring out how to say it and it's one of the oldest names there are in Ireland.
