What's the payoff for kids following in their parents' footsteps? If you have a talent, why not make it work for you instead of them?

It's your choice, right? Parents with a mission seem to be pretty heavy-handed when it comes to what their kids are doing.

I'm sure some are. But even Mom'd take it fine if I decided I didn't want to As it is, there's some aspects of following in Mom's footsteps she doesn't want to let me do fast enough.
