Halloween Party (for Saturday!)! Everyone!
Halloween was her favorite day of the year, outside of her birthday. And Christmas. And Valentine's Day! It was still pretty up there, considering that there were 365 days in the bloody year! Liz couldn't handle the excitement, whether it be from dressing Katie up in adorable little outfits (plural, because she simply could not pick one obnoxiously cute costume for her daughter) or doing her hair or making Ian dress up and the candy!

Ohhhh, the candy.

It was probably not a good idea to be on a full blown sugar rush when you left for a big party like this, but her fans (she had FANS!) were used to her rapid paced talk! So this should be the norm for everyone, because Liz Bell was a show stopper! The red carpet was sooo much fun, and the Bells were just sofreakinggoodlooking so why would the cameras not flash at them and sigh.

Halloween was the best ever.

"How are my buns?" she asked without looking up, unsure if she had wandered away from her husband or not. There were so many pretty costumes and lights and shiny things...it really wasn't her fault if she'd gotten lost in the crowd.

Franzy pursed her lips as she turned to face Stubby. Oh wasn't he just oh so clever. Shouldn't they be past this by now. She really didn't understand why he sought her out to bother her. What right did he have to be mad at her anyways. They broke up long before she ever dated Darwin. In fact, there was a rather substantial relationship between the the two of them.

And he broke up with her.

"Did you need something, Stubward? I'm not in the mood for your petty jealous jibes today."

Maybe a few years ago his name might have bothered him, but really, what was he going to do about it. Plus some girls thought it was cute and giggled over it. "I was just doing my job," he said, pointing at the thing in his hat (the thing that all reporters/picture takers had, the little card thing - he wasn't actually sure what it was for, like he was going to ask one of them about it) and flashed another picture of her (hopefully terribly unflattering) and smirked again. "And baby, there's nothing to be jealous of. I'm still absolutely fabulous and you're well..." Stubby trailed off. There was no reason to be overly mean, and bring up her cousin or anything like that. That was even beyond Stubby's realm of things to say.

"Oh of course you are." Franzy said rolling her eyes. Because she wasn't going to let him upset her. What he had to say meant nothing. Absolutely nothing.

But at the same time, she was done with all the crap he was giving her. "I honestly don't care about what you have to say anymore, but this," she started gesturing between, "whatever this is, all your snarky comments and remarks need to stop. I'm not going to deny that I've messed up but I've done nothing to you. So grow up Stubby, I know I'm trying to."

"Done nothing? Do you not remember the whole let's get married to one of my best mates and then dumping him thing?" Stubby rolled his eyes at her. Okay, so maybe he wasn't exactly doing this out of his love for Darwin - that ship had already had it's fight and they were back to being bandmates at least, even if he was having trouble finding a way to forgive him for stealing his girl. Mates just didn't do that. "Do you know what your nickname is? Among the boyos? Yoko Ono. Really, I might have broken up with you, but honestly, it was for a good reason. I just wanted a break, we were going on tour and you were still at school. I thought it was unfair to do that whole, oh my boyfriend is the lead singer of one of the world's most popular wizarding band (and he plays the tambourine) thing while you were stuck at Hogwarts," Stubby waved his glass in her direction. "But then what, you sleep with what's his face, the naked guy, and then you're all up on Winnie? Come on, Franziska, you don't fuck around with your guy's mates! That is just, not on. Have I slept with any of your girlfriends? No. None! Nada, merlin."

"Are you kidding me? There are so many things wrong with that it's not even funny. You broke up with me, and ignored me. Only showed up when I was on my deathbed with that stupid plague. You don't get to be mad about Bertram. Not one bit. And all those reasons don't matter if you never tell them to me." Franzy was seething. "You left me thinking that you didn't like me anymore. Did you really expect me to sit around pining after you?"

And who the fuck was Yoko Ono. That didn't even make any sense. "Oh and Darwin, I shouldn't even bother with this because it's between me and him, but since your are so intent on being a part of it, I'll bring you up to date. Darwin came on to me. And he asked me to marry him, and I agreed because he was so sweet and nice and always made sure I was happy. But those really aren't good enough reasons to marry someone. I wasn't good for him. What I did was awful but I'm happy that Bertram showed up and made me realize that I was making a mistake because it sure as hell would have been worse if I had realized that after I married him."

"Oh, and no nothing happened with him when I went after him either. Just in case you were wondering about that too." Franzy huffed at the end of her rant, crossing her arms over her chest.

"And who the fuck is Yoko Ono?"

"I was looking after your best interests! You do that to the people you love and care about okay, but that doesn't mean I didn't stop thinking about you. Do you not listen to my songs? DUH, songwriter, girl and heartbreak, what else are those songs about you know? And sort of, yeah! That's what happens when it's an epic love story!" Stubby's voice was getting a little louder than it should have probably been. "There's got to be some you know whatever drama, but not like!" He started flailing the camera round some more, "You slept with my best friend!"

Indignant anger was coursing through him now. "Darwin has always been easy for a sad girl. How do you think his ex-girlfriend kept him around so long? She was a ginormous you-know-what all the time but every time he tried to break up with her she cried and there you go. Crying girls, his thing. And he totally would have stayed married to you ANYWAY, and I'd be like, whatever, but still. Epic love stories and songs aren't supposed to be oh, my girl ran off with naked guy - I don't care what you did - and then married another guy but oh not quite. Really Franzy!"

He scoffed at her last question and put his hand up in her face, "Please, don't even insult me with that question. She married John Lennon and broke up the Beatles, do I even have to explain this to you?"

Franzy just blinked at Stubby. It took her a moment to process everything he was saying. Because despite the yelling and gesturing he was clearly saying something that she wasn't expecting.

No, she really didn't listen to his songs after he left. She was hurting. Listening to those songs were the last thing she wanted to do.

She opened her mouth only to close it again. He still cared, practically admitted that he still loved her. What could she say to that. So she went with her gut instinct and threw her drink his face. Two years. Why couldn't he have said all that Two years ago. Or even just a year ago. Before all this mess with Darwin and Bertram.

"You are so stupid. You really should of said something a long time ago." she said leaning in, because she was so, so tempted to kiss him. Because if she was truly honest with herself, she had been waiting to hear that for ages.

She was barely an inch from kissing him when she stopped. This was all to easy. To easy for him to get back to her. Too easy for her to make a fool of herself again if she was wrong. She had to remember to stop making impulse decisions. She had no idea how she was feeling. She needed space. She gave him a quick kiss on the lips before promptly turning on her heel and walking away.

Space she needed space. And another drink.

He sputtered and wiped the drink out of his eyes - there was NO way he was going to let her do that to him he had something biting on the tip of his tongue when she leaned in close to him. So close he nearly stopped breathing, and just stood there as he watched her, get so close to him. She did look like she was going to kiss him and really in that moment he couldn't think of anything he wanted to say except to ask her to kiss him.

Stubby hardly heard what she had to say until she was walking away. He put his hands on his lips and watched her walk away, the camera and flash going off on accident that caused him to jump and start to walk after her, "I did! I DID," he shouted, but was waylaid by some overly helpful waiters - did they not know this was a MOMENT and they were interrupting it - but by the time he was freed of their help he was unable to find her. Looking down and forlorn, Stubby fingered the shutter button as he looked into the lens of the camera. "I did say something, it was the songs..." he mumbled to himself.
