Halloween Party (for Saturday!)! Everyone!
Halloween was her favorite day of the year, outside of her birthday. And Christmas. And Valentine's Day! It was still pretty up there, considering that there were 365 days in the bloody year! Liz couldn't handle the excitement, whether it be from dressing Katie up in adorable little outfits (plural, because she simply could not pick one obnoxiously cute costume for her daughter) or doing her hair or making Ian dress up and the candy!

Ohhhh, the candy.

It was probably not a good idea to be on a full blown sugar rush when you left for a big party like this, but her fans (she had FANS!) were used to her rapid paced talk! So this should be the norm for everyone, because Liz Bell was a show stopper! The red carpet was sooo much fun, and the Bells were just sofreakinggoodlooking so why would the cameras not flash at them and sigh.

Halloween was the best ever.

"How are my buns?" she asked without looking up, unsure if she had wandered away from her husband or not. There were so many pretty costumes and lights and shiny things...it really wasn't her fault if she'd gotten lost in the crowd.

If it had been achievable, Odette would have already choked Seth to death with the very chains around her wrists about two hours ago. But no, she had been reduced to clutching her necklace tightly instead, trying her best to completely ignore his looks and over the shoulder lingers. Perhaps the next time he tried to whisper yet something else creepily in her ear, her crown would leave a deep scar down his entire face for the rest of his life. She would enjoy that. She would enjoy that a lot. It was definitely something to strive for.

Finally having enough, Odette broke her ignoring game. He wanted her attention? Fine. It wasn't like he was going to get anywhere near her--- well. Anymore. She had stayed faithfully to Noah's side all night, ensuring that whenever Seth did get too close, it wasn't for long and at least out of Noah's sight.

Which was annoying as fuck, because technically he was keeping up to their bargain. But--- ugh, ugh she just hated that man so much. Not to mention Odette doubly hated it when he actually outsmarted her.

Fine, fine. Odette's hand dropped from around her neck, placing itself firmly at her side. With the fiercest look she could muster (she was worldly know for her death glare...), she simply maintained this unfortunately caught gaze. And perhaps maybe a rude hand gesture was thrown in, but only because Noah had left to go get drinks.

Seth grinned as he walked away from the girl. Noah had been glued to Odette's hip all night long. Seth only had the few seconds before but now he was no where to be seen. Perfect.

"Odette, you look just fabulous tonight. Absolutely delectable." he said with a smirk. Oh the things he could pass of as being in the character of a vampire.

And Seth wasn't one of those pansy vampires he'd seen walking around in costume. He went all out with his costume. Blood dribbling down his chin and the make up around his eyes made him look authentically creepy.

"Terribly sorry I haven't had the chance to come by and say hello earlier. For a moment, I thought I'd never have the chance."

Oh no.

No, no.

If Wadcock thought he was going to get anywhere with this, he was severely mistaken. Odette's body ridged up severely, her muscles tightening more with his every step toward her. She thought for a moment about screaming loudly to call attention to herself (and therefore him), but that would be more detrimental than helpful... not to mention the music surrounding them would most definitely drown most of the fear out. Walking away was out of the question, he would just follow her. Not to mention turning her back to him was like giving free reign.

So, with her mouth sucked in sourly and her arms crossed over her chest, Odette continued to glare at Seth, completely ignoring his ridiculous state of being. She wouldn't be surprised if that was real blood dripped on his face. A child's blood. That lived in an orphanage. Who was sick. And had turned violently ill at the sight of Seth Wadcock.

"How much of a travesty that would have been," her voice dripped with sarcasm, leaving no room for even an ounce of acceptance. Odette's eyes dropped low, now creating a sullen look. Behind him, she noticed the girl he had previously been talking to sulk off. Honestly--- what else was she expecting? Odette had yet to meet a person that wasn't fully convinced she was still seeing Seth secretly, despite him being married and her engaged. To Noah Boot. A completely different person entirely.

"Where is Savannah? I don't think I've seen you with her at all this entire night...."

Seth's grin fell for a second at the mention of his wife, but he recovered quickly. Odette didn't need to know that she still wasn't really speaking to him, that his mother yet again had Leanne for the night.

Seth wasn't going to even think about that or let it ruin his night. Savannah was being ridiculous, he already apologized. He didn't know what to do anymore.

"Ah, Savannah didn't feel like attending this evening." he answered shortly taking a long pull of his drink. And suddenly this wasn't nearly as fun anymore. "Where is Noah? I don't believe I've seen him leave your side once this entire evening... Is he afraid that some one will steal you away if your left alone, or is it that you'll willingly go along?"

Odette noticed Seth's slight change in posture. Oh yes, she had most definitely seen his slight fall of that annoying smirk of his before he quickly covered up any sign of weakness. Oh yes, she had seen all of it, Seth Wadcock--- what else could he expect with her intense glaring? And she was a Seeker for fuck's sake, if Odette couldn't notice the slightest of movements daily, then she would have a job.

Swelling with pride that she had deterred him, Odette felt herself suddenly feel much lighter. More lighter than she had felt the entire night. It felt good to finally get back to knocking Wadcock down a few pegs. Not to mention that meant she and Drystan could finally move forward in their stalemate game of who could dishonorably bring Wadcock back down to the ground the best.

"Sure," Odette purred, her strict gaze breaking to form a smile. Ah, dominance; it felt so good. "I'm sure that is exactly how the conversation went." She smiled openly at him now, feeling the anger from before begin to ebb away. No, no, this feeling coursing through her was far too pleasant to pass up. And for now, it would take a lot for him to drag her back down.

"No, I'm fairly certain it's because of all the sex we've been having around here. The bathroom, the coat closet, that hallway in the back.... wouldn't want to get too far--- you know."

Seth knocked back the rest of his drink and looked around for a waiter to refill it. Mood was official ruined. "Oh really, for some reason I don't believe you at all. You don't have to try so hard to make me jealous."

He grabbed a drink off the tray of a passing waiter, causing the balance to shift and the rest of the drinks fall to the floor. "Oh... sorry about that." Seth said with a slight wince. Ok maybe he was only slightly remorseful and partly intoxicated. Parties were for drinking after all.

And Savannah wasn't around to give him disapproving looks for drink to much so what was there to stop him. "But really, good for you Odette, personally I recommend the supply closet around the corner." he said pointing down the hall. "You could make great use of the ladder in there, among other things. Makes for great sex and amazing orgasms."

"You've got to be fucking kidding me."

Noah shoved the glasses he'd waited nearly fifteen minutes for into a passing costume goblin's hands, all the while glaring directly at Seth Wadcock and his ridiculous costume. Noah would ignore the fact that he had whined until Odette began unwrapping his robes about his costume, but right now stupid, tiny, insignificant and random thoughts like that were going to be pushed aside for the nearly raging anger that was coursing through him at the moment.

He wasn't a guy who liked to go out to parties and dance and have to deal with people. Noah was perfectly content with staying home and working, or being with Terry, or anything that didn't involve people but---he was trying. He had a reason to try and stop his hermit-like ways in Odette and this---fucking---guy was making everything a million times harder.

Noah stepped up to Seth, hands up in a way that showed he was not sure what he wanted to do with them at the moment. He stared at the ground as he tried to gather all his wild thoughts.

"Do you seriously have---nothing better to do with your life than to harass her?" Noah looked up, completely confunded by this man's idiocy, "Are you really that pathetic? Is your life so sad that you must act like a lewd and obnoxious jackass to get some speck of attention?"

It was hard not to wish that the sword at his waist wasn't real.

Seth just rolled his eyes and took another sip of his drink, as Noah approached them. Did he not realize this is just how Odette and him worked. He'd say something lewd, she'd say something snarky, and so on and so forth. This was like everyday conversation for them.

"I just want to point out for the record, Noah spoke to me first. And it would be just rude for me to ignore him." Seth said to Odette before turning back to Noah.

"You really need to tone it down like three levels here. I really don't understand why you still get so upset. How long have you known me, well not known me but you get the point. I always piss Odette off and in return she goes and pisses me off. I'm pretty sure the world would stop turning if we started being nice and have normal conversations with each other."

Seth just smirked as he watched Noah, he was easier to rile up than Odette was. And he didn't even do anything to him. "Oh, and to answer you question, I have lots of better things to do, but none of them are nearly as fun."

Wow, she wasn't sure what was worse- the swiftly deteriorating Seth Wadcock, stepping closer to a drunken stupor by the second, or Noah seemingly so angry that Odette was fairly certain he was about to commit murder with a fake sword. It had not been a good idea to dress him up as Perseus-- nor her to emulate a helpless greek princess. Hm.

Suddenly, Odette felt very tired. Tired of Seth, tired of constantly trying to keep Noah as far away from possible from Seth, tired of quidditch, tired of her family (who had yet to let up about anything now that she had finally clued them in about getting married</i>), tired from just--- everything.

Maybe she just didn't like a drunken Seth Wadcock explaining her "relationship" with him to her finance, or maybe she didn't like how vehement Noah got--- but either way, Odette knew she did not have the capacity for this right now. Not one bit. Nope.

So without really thinking, Odette bent down slightly to place her cup on the floor. Without a word, and staring blankly in front of her, she turned her back to the both of them and simply walked away. To get her cloak, because she was going home now. To most likely cry her eyes out-- it had been long coming with all the ridiculousness that had been occurring in her life.
