000. Intro
HI PEOPLES!

This is my happy little OOC introduction. Since I don't know y'all, I figured it was a good idea.

I'm Kate. :) I'm 26, and I teach 11th grade English. I'm addicted to music and makeup, and I'm on a roller derby team. I live in eastern NC, and the only people here that I really know are Mercy and Alter. *waves!* However, I've already discovered that you guys are insanely friendly and lots of fun, so I'm very much looking forward to getting started with this game!

SO! Anyway. My character! Let me show you her!

I'm picking up Rosalie Diserafino, a Ravenclaw from the class of '74. If you graduated Hogwarts in or around that year, it's likely that you know her - she was a Prefect and Quidditch player (Beater) for Ravenclaw. She's also older sister to Miss Joy Diserafino, so if you're buddies with Joy you're probably acquainted with her, as well. The other reason you might know Joy is if you're affiliated in any way with the Auror Training Program. She is that office's ever-capable admin, keeping the place running like a well-oiled machine with her excellent skills of organization and scheduling.

Now, if you -are- acquainted with Rosalie, here are the things you might know about her:

Most Everybody Knows Rosalie:
- is very organized
- is very friendly and outgoing
- is the secret master of the office
- tends to mother people
- seldom loses her temper, but when she does it's terrifying
- never, ever gossips. EVER.
- is Joy's sister

Good Friends Know Rosalie:
- is all of the above
- comes from a seriously dysfunctional family
- is actually rather insecure
- often takes too much on herself
- feels rather lonely sometimes
- can actually be a lot of fun when she relaxes
- has more in common with her sister than is immediately obvious
- just bought her own house in Kent, near the town of Appledore

Almost Nobody Knows Rosalie:
- struggles with her family relationships
- has an intense fear of abandonment

Soooo...backstory, anyone? Rosalie needs friends! She needs enemies! Frenemies, even! Exes, too! And coworkers, and people she lives near, and all that stuff! HELLO IT'S YOUR SISTER. :]

Besides Joy, I offer to you Naija Patil (

naijas), Gryffindor Class of 1973. They've got the same sort of organized, friendly, personality types and besides that, Naija was Head Girl so they def. knew each other. Possibly friends? Naija needs some friends. :]

Then I've got Samuel Davies (

samuels), Ravenclaw Class of 1974. They were prefects together that year so they def. know each other! He's a sweetie, a bit softspoken sometimes and really non-confrontational. He's super super into sports but is crap at playing them, so he would have loved that she played Quidditch haha.

Also, Juliana Wilkes ([info]juless), Slytherin Class fo 1974. Juliana's not particularly mean to anyone of lesser blood than her, but she definitely thinks she's better than them all. Either they wouldn't have spoken, or would have some sort of weird semi-friendly acquaintance relationship.

Naija and Rosalie as friends sounds brilliant! Even if she wasn't a prefect, they both seem like the kinds of people who would be in clubs and doing things and therefore would have reason to be acquainted with one another. So let's have them be friends! Yay friends!

And it seems like Rosalie could easily be friends with Samuel as well. Maybe even dated in school?

Annnnnd that sort of surface-friendly acquaintance thing sounds good for Juliana!

Okay, so we talked about Graeme and Rosalie already. She wishes he were still with Joy, because she liked him with Joy better than this McLaggen character.

If Evan is all over the place, she'd almost certainly have met him. She's friendly to everyone and remembers names well, so depending on how friendly he is they might be friends.

As for Dolores, Rosalie certainly knows and fears her with that special fear that you can only have for something you think you might become if you're not careful.

Evan isn't...'friendly', persay. I don't know, he probably won't be inviting her over for tea any time soon, but when he's at work, he tries to stay on the Ministry's good side. I think they'd 'get along' well enough, but I'm not quite sure if Evan would really like her. It all depends on how they interact.

And yes, Dolores is a trip. She's...ugh, you want to hit her a lot. She gives the worst backhanded compliments ever. Like "Oh, you would look so pretty, maybe even gorgeous if it wasn't for that disgusting mole on your nose!"

Haha, it's Cristina and I play Finn, Cormac's daddy :] At first he wasn't fit/ready at all for this, but Cormac and Joy have really changed him and made him less of a grump (but he's still a grump, be assured XD)

Anywho! There'll be a lot of interaction there! Finn's a year older than her so he would probably remember her from school.

Um! I have two girls in Rosalie's year, a Ravenclaw Deidra McKinnon (who totally needs friends kthx :]]) she's an astrologist. Annnd Estella Derrick, who was a Slytherin, annnnd she's a dance instructor and currently dating one of Finn's teammates lmao

Rosalie probably doesn't care much for Finn - she wouldn't have liked him -much- to begin with, because he's rude and grumpy and unpleasant. She would have been playing Quidditch against him on Ravenclaw's team when they were in school. His brother would have been Mr. Popular in Ravenclaw when she started there, so she probably remembers him fondly. But really, when he knocked up her sister and was a dick about it, she probably came to dislike him even more. Rosalie probably doesn't trust the change, at least not yet...in her life, when people have changed, it's never been permanent.

However, she would love to be friends with Deirdra! IM me so we can discuss!

Oh, okay! Sorry, I misunderstood the "wasn't ready". In that case, she would probably have just maintained her original state of thinking he's kind of a dick. However, as he's been so good to her sister, she might be veeeeery slowly warming toward him. She wouldn't be -rude- to him or anything, but she might be a little wary. Just not sure how to deal with him, I guess? Because she's sort of not very trusting in general.

Hello Kate! 'Tis Alter.

The list of my characters is here but those Rosalie would know are: (and forgive me, I don't have everyone's journals exactly set up yet from moving)

dawlishes (a shared journal) - Nate Dawlish (yeah I had him before his canon name came out) he's an auror and heads up training. The old Rosalie and he had an rp, just friendly and such. He's got a kid he adopted and another on the way with his wife Bree, who used to work for the ministry and it was kind of a scandal 'cause he's muggleborn and such. He's quite a few years older than her, in Hufflepuff.

mycroftic - Mycroft Doge, he's the older brother to Elphias Doge (who is 17, not 100something, this Elphias was around before canon, again XD) and he's a bit of a twerp. He and his brother, Berkeley are partners and like making the auror office pretty damn silly. She probably gets on their nerves (Cristina plays Berk) when they don't do paperwork - though Mycroft (he tries to get people to call him Mike) is probably more timely than his brother. He's not a big flirt but he probably chats Rosalie up a bit. He was a few years above her, in Gryffindor.

justjorkin - Bertha Jorkins, she was two years below in Gryffindor. She briefly worked with the MLE/with Rosalie last year, before being transferred to where she is now with Public Relations. She's nice and everything and is dating one of the Hit Wizards (Sturgis Podmore) though Rosalie probably despises her because, well, she's a huge gossip and probably annoyed the crap out of Rosalie last year.

I have two Slytherins, a Hufflepuff and a Gryffindor in the year above (Aland, Cam, Cordie and Harper - Harper works at the ministry but has little contact).

Well, if Dawlish is head of training, Rosalie -definitely- knows him. So we should definitely have them talk sometime.

HI MYCROFT! Rosalie will be glad to call him Mike, and she'll be friendly and nice with him. Anything he does resembling flirting she'll laugh off and be a good sport about. Mike and Berk may be aware that "Sneak Up On Rosalie" is an awesome game because she squeaks and jumps when startled. Though they're older than she is, she'll probably take a sort of "Oh, you kids" attitude with them.

Ooooh, yes, the gossiping would irritate Rosalie a lot. She would mask her irritation, but hold a private dislike for Bertha for spreading rumors and being socially destructive.

Hi there, you silly weirdo! Rosalie will sort of shake her head and laugh and bug him about his paperwork. And he may be interested to know that "Sneak Up On Rosalie" is an awesome game because she jumps and squeaks if you catch her by surprised.

Rosalie respects "good at his job" and would try to help him out with stuff if he needed it. Like, if there's brainy paperwork kind of stuff that he's having trouble with, she'd be all "Call on me and I will help!"

Hi there quiet Trainee! Rosalie manages the office of the trainee program, so she'd certainly know him. He would be aware that she's the secret master of the office. And she would probably like him all right, as she's unaware of his death eateryness.

Hola, Kate. I'm Nelle. I only have two people who would possibly know her right now.

vigilantauror. Alastor Moody. He's not 'Mad-Eye' yet, since both eyes are intact, but we can call him 'the One-Legged Wonder' or something. He's an auror and probably knows Rosalie/gives her a hard time. But he'll like that she's good at her job and organised, so he won't be too hard on her.

bamfintraining. Tobias Gibbon. Death Eater and older brother of Estella Derrick, so if Rosalie is at all acquainted with her, she probably knows him. He's married (read: gay) and has a three year old daughter named Caleigh.

	Hello, I'm Leah, I have Avery here and I meant to comment on this a while ago. Anyway, Avery was a Ravenclaw as well, though he is a couple of years younger than Rosalie. He probably enjoyed the quidditch games even more and probably didn't mind her kicking yelled at by her, either. Avery's also a bit of a womanizer and party animal.
