Feels Like Home
Natasha had enjoyed the break from being pregnant, but if she had to admit it she missed her own body. It wasn't because her husband didn't have a good body, he did and Natasha had appreciated every inch on many occasions, but it didn't feel like home. It felt different and not quite right.

There were very noticeable differences between men and women and Natasha still wasn't used to some of them. She would swear that a certain part of a man's body definitely had a mind of its own and Natasha had found herself in an uncomfortable position a few times. Looking at other men no less. She could just imagine what people thought at Tony Stark staring at men. Though there was something to be said about being able to pee standing up.

Quite frankly she was tired of women slipping her their phone numbers wherever she went. She had a wife crying out loud. Did these women have no shame? There were a few who had practically thrown themselves at her. It had taken a lot of restraint not to do something that would make them and her regret their own actions.

Even though pregnancy was uncomfortable for the most part, Natasha did miss certain things about it. Definitely not the back pain or the swollen feet and ankles, but she did miss feeling the baby move. Okay, so maybe not the kicks, but feeling a growing life moving inside of you was something special. She missed it.

They hadn't had any luck finding Stephen. According to the Defenders he had vanished in a fight with Dormammu. Definitely not good news and November was quickly approaching. They had to find some way to switch back before Nick decided to make his entrance into the world. She did not want to deal with Tony in labor. No amount of chocolate or coffee existed to deal with that.

When they finally did switch back, Tony was going to kill her. She had put about ten pounds of weight on his body. She blamed it on the chocolate and sympathy eating. Well in her defense she didn't know when this was going to end and she wouldn't be allowed much chocolate until after the baby was born.

Natasha yawned and looked at the clock. It was getting late and she knew she wasn't going to sleep well. Not with Tony tossing and turning all night in between the many trips to the bathroom. She appreciated her husband even more after realizing how much a pregnant person moved about at night. Not once had the man complained about it during the whole pregnancy.

Natasha yawned and turned off the lights in the penthouse and then made her way to the bedroom.

Tony Stark has learned his own set of lessons from being a woman. Pregnancy is the single greatest and worst experience that could be visited upon a woman. Sure, it was fun to /create/ a baby, but it was only now that Tony appreciated the very special gift that Tasha had given him with Anya, and was now going to give him with Eddie.

And, by God, it would be Tasha giving birth because Tony knows right now that he'll never be the same if he has to give birth to Eddie. Not even if he goes back to his own body afterward. However, he'd already started his wife on the road to recovery by keeping her body exercised along the way.

Most of all, though, he would miss being able to speak to Eddie when he was so close by. Having his organs used for sparring practice was not so much fun, but it was good to know that his son was healthy and ready to come and meet them.

"And this, Eddie, is how you send an e-mail. You simply type it up, choose your recipient, and send it off." Tony says, typing on his laptop. He'd been schooling his little boy on the basics of business as a father/mother-son bonding type of thing.

"Now, we aren't going to tell Mommy about the new crib armor I'm building for you, because she'd make us stop. But your crib will be in Daddy's lab, so that when you want to build something, Dad can help." Tony smiles, e-mailing Misha about the Project, then deleting the e-mail. Tasha didn't need the stress, or a reason to decide to keep his body after all.

"You're my special little guy, son. No matter how big you get or what you do. We're pals for life, Eddie. Okay?" he says, talking down to Tasha's belly.

	"Are you teaching him things I'm going to make you regret?" she asked as she entered the room. Despite her words there was a smile on her face. The Black Widow was retired and Natasha Stark was enjoying married life. "Do you need anything before I crawl into bed?" she asked. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Of course I am, honey. I need to make my elderly years interesting, don't I?" he smiles.

"No, honey. I've got a glass of water here, but I need to go to the bathroom again as soon as I turn off the laptop, which is happening right...now." Tony says, as the computer shuts down.

"You should crawl into bed so that you can feel Eddie kick a little bit. He wants to tell you good night, too." Tony says.

	"Yes, but I don't need my latter years interesting," she said and held out a hand to help him up off the bed. "I could use some peace and quiet. We all could." "I agree with you on that. I've learned a lot from living in your body, Tasha. There are certain things I will never take for granted or assume again in my life." Tony tells her.

"But I really wish we could get back to normal. I'd like to be less familiar with the bathroom as soon as possible." he says.

"Are you and Pepper doing this through retail shopping therapy?" he asks.

	"I was hoping that Nick would play football," she said. "You know, be the star quarterback and date the head cheerleader." She shadowed him as he made his way to the bed. 	Natasha woke to find everything with the world was back to normal. Her internal organs were being used as target practice and she had to use the bathroom in the worst way. She felt huge, awkward and clumsy. Yes, everything was right with the world. Natasha slid to the edge of the bed and pushed herself to her feet. She waddled to the bathroom. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Tony almost holds on to his wife to keep her from moving, because she moves so much during the night these days. Still, he felt Eddie kicking inside her and smiled to himself, because that--

made him sit bolt upright in bed.

He felt a little heavier than normal, but his insides were his insides! He really wanted coffee right now, but more than that, he wanted chocolate. Like now.

"Tasha? Honey, are you in there?" he asks.

	"Yes," she called back and came out a few moments later. "It appears everything is back to normal and we are both back where we should be." She waddled over to his side of the bed. 	Natasha eagerly returned the kiss. It had been weird kissing him while he had been in her body. Now things were back to normal and she was going to take advantage of it. "However, for the last month of this pregnancy, Wife of Mine, I'm going to limit myself to one cup of coffee and no excess sweets. What you eat, I'll eat...unless it's tofu. Tony sighs at the thought of Stephanie. He'd honestly put the thought of the young woman out of his mind for awhile, but now it came rushing back to the fore.

"We...may need to invite Clint as well. He needs to know and maybe the family setting will keep everyone's reactions from getting out of hand." Tony says.

"This whole thing is still a little weird for me. That's two universes now that I'm dead in. I'm still having some trouble with that." he says.

"Do you really think Clint would help things from getting out of hand?" she asked. Clint was bound to make it worse. Natasha could already predict how things were going to go. Misha would be...well Misha. James had already met the girl so Natasha knew she didn't have to worry about him. Anya was the one she worried about. It was a really weird situation and her daughter was still dealing with Steve's disappearance.

"I know, but you're still alive in this one. That's the important one to me."

He knows his daughter is strong, but she's been pushed to her breaking point with Steve's disappearance. As much as he's loathe to admit it, Steve was stabilizing influence on Anya.

Tony doesn't want Anya to regress back into some of the wildness she'd exhibited less than a year ago. Things have been rough for everyone, but it seemed like his family was being kicked repeatedly in recent times.
