Baking Spree
Melanie Hall was cheering herself up a bit by doing something useful at which she was good. Beside the purple oven, currently, were cooling a batch of almond meringue cookies and a batch of butterscotch oatmeal cookies.
After the ventilations shift to send the scent further throughout the building, the oven door opened on a blackberry pie. She returned to herself and started transferring half of two-thirds of each batch of cookies onto plates, and one third of each batch into a sealed container. She put the container in a box with a note that said, simply, "Hope you and your brother are doing okay."

Once the package for David Roberts at Xavier's was set to be mailed, Mel returned to the kitchen to see if the others were there.

	The beagle was Alex's usual form and with that came an awesome sense of smell. As soon as he got the first whiff of baked goods, he went to hunt down the source. It sucked not being able to cook or bake for himself so when others were doing it, he took full advantage of it. He made his way into the kitchen. /Smells good./ (Reply to this)(Thread)

He finishes a big mouthful of cookie before continuing, obviously hungry. "So, they were pissed off at first. But they got a call from the Russian consulate while I was there. I'm not quite sure what they had originally intended to do, but there's no official punishment, and we have invitations to visit Russia whenever."

Another mouthful of cookie.

"So, you get my present?"

"Yeah, apparently the Black Widow made some calls. They can't officially congratulate us for illegal work across borders, but we're definitely out of any trouble we were in and have something to negotiate raises or promotions with."

He nods to the second. "That's ok, even more fun to tell you myself. So I did a little bit of hacking on the video games set up on the game center in the temple. Technically illegal, yes, but for a good cause."
