	Who: Vinnie & Avery Setting: Commons, after classes on Wednesday Content: SFW (I would assume?) Summary: Vinnie heads out for some sun after class and ends up running into Avery of all people. It was almost summer break. Almost done with finals and school for the year. But almost wasn't quite good enough. Vinnie was absolutely dying to get home, to go swimming and hang out with his friends, go shopping in the city, go to a party or two or ten, see some of his local family, and hopefully make the trip to Italy for a couple of weeks to see other family. Italy was always like a home away from home for him, and he looked forward to every moment that he got to spend over there. So for now, these last few weeks were nothing but heat and time dragging on and studying. It was enough to make him just head outside and linger after classes on the lawn of the commons. There was nothing really pressing to get done, and he was more than happy to put off studying for a little while and people-watch. He decided to make his way over to one of the benches that was both in the shade and unoccupied. That way he wouldn't die of sunstroke. Which would totally kill his summer plans. Unfortunately for Vinnie, somebody else had also spotted the empty benches in the shade and had taken it upon themselves to go and occupy one of them. It was far too hot and sticky to study indoors; if you really had to get sweaty, there were better ways to reach that goal than by revising for your exams.

Avery adjusted his sunglasses and pulled the strap of his bag over his head in one fluid movement, dumping his satchel unceremoniously on the bench. He didn't even look at who had been approaching.

It was only when he turned to seat himself that he saw Vinnie. He scoffed, then twisted his mouth into a smirk. "This seat is taken. Why don't you scurry back to your little otter den and do your fingerpainting there. Important wizards need to study."

Vinnie's smile grew into a wide, innocent one. "Oh well it's a good thing that the benches are meant for two and that I don't see any of those pesky important wizards around. That could get real awkward, dico bene?"

And moving to the portion that had the satchel on it, Vinnie lightly hopped up to sit on the back of the bench beside Avery. Not touching his bag, but letting his long legs make a frame over it. His own bag got set on his feet, tilted not to fall over, and he leaned back a little as if this was his plan all along. "Beautiful day, isn't it? What are you studying, bellimbusto?"

"If you don't see any important wizards then your eyes mustn't work properly," Avery replied, taking a book from his bag. "And just because something is meant for two people doesn't mean two people have to use it. There are plenty of other benches for you to play on."

He stared up at the boy, a small degree of annoyance settling on his face. Avery pulled his bag closer to him and kept his book face down on his lap. "It isn't really any of your concern, is it? Whatever I happen to be revising isn't going to be something you're good at."
