Sunday!
[info]emilie and I watched some Ah! My Goddess this morning. I do enjoy that anime, it's good and funny. We went to breakfast at our usual place and got our usual food, good as always too.

Then I set her up on Yukai so she could get some movies to bring to a friends house and she cleaned up a little. Then she went to the barn and I watched some Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai which is another funny anime. I set myself up an account on MyAnimeList. Definitely something I've been looking for, for awhile. I know I have a journal entry on here to track video games and movies, but I was looking for something to track the anime I watch/have watched. It even does manga too. If anyone else is a member of that site, let me know, we can be friends on there (I have none there yet).

I went to the barn this afternoon, that was pretty quick and easy. I was going to take some photos but they were inside and it got dark faster then I thought it would, oh well, maybe tomorrow.

I've really been enjoying my MacBook Air. Much more then I thought I would...I've been coding, using remote desktop, surfing the web in Safari, checking multiple emails with multiple clients, using iChat, watching a movie in Quicktime, and listening to music in iTunes and not once has it slowed down or stuttered. Definitely happy with it. Haven't regretted not having an optical drive at all either (although I didn't think I would...). I got a 4 port USB hub so I could hook up my hard drives, works great!

So, I setup 2 new communities, [info]scribbldsuggest and [info]scribbld_top5. Join em and have fun. I now ask that you send $2 for each username you want from [info]usernames, mostly because it's a pain in the ass. I'll probably make $1.75 since PayPal sucks and they take a percentage of what people send in. All money will go to some new stuff for Scribbld. Currently on the list of stuff Scribbld needs is a new Airport Base station, a new switch and a UPS. We'll get there some day!

Anyways, I am not sure I have much else to say at the moment, so have a nice evening everyone!

You know, Jimmy, you could probably even bump that $2 up to three or four. I know a ton of people who donated $15 bucks and more on Greatest Journal for a username, so three or four bucks should be nothing, especially when it's being used towards the site. Back on Greatest Journal, we didn't even know where the money was going/went!

Ha. I really want a MacBook Air now. :-[ I'll have to stick to my iMac, though.

Oh really, hrmm, that's not a bad idea. Maybe I will go to $5, you think that's okay, or too much?

Hehe, get a MacBook Air, they're pretty cool!! Which iMac version do you have?

I think five bucks would be good, just as long as the accounts are given to everyone as Early Adopter accounts because of the 150 icons. I remember that back on GJ, people really went off on how many icons they could get while using an account. When ~system dropped the icons to ten the first time around, people had a fit.

I have an iMac OS X, 2 GHz Intel Core Duo. :) I am so tempted to get one! How is the space on it? I have so much stuff on my computer, mostly music files, but it's A LOT. I have over 3,000 mp3s.

Hrm, I think I'll keep it $2 then cause changing all the information is enough I am not about to check to see if it's not an EA account and if it's not change it to one, so $2 and it is what it is :P

Is your one of the white ones or the aluminum ones. I just got rid of one of my aluminum ones. It's got 80GBs of space. I as a rule keep all my music on external drives, especially if I just have a laptop. I have something like 21,000 MP3s all on a 500GB Lacie drive. I also find it easier cause I go through computers so fast, one like every 3-4 months so I can move my music around much easier that way.

I don't know much about LJ code, but if there's a training guide or anything for switching all that info and you ever need any help, I'm game.

Mine is white. I got it just about a year and a half ago, and I had a Compaq before that. But yeah, I'm never going back to using Windows, ever again. 80GBs is good! Sorta' like one of the old iPod classics. And wow, that's a crap load of MP3s. And I thought I had a lot!

It's all manually done in MySQL, there's not a pretty way to do it lol That's why it takes me so long to do, if there was a nice form I'd definitely just keep it free hehe

Ohh the white ones. Aiiyee, Compaq haha I think I had one of those as my first computer, back in 1998 or 1999. It actually ended up being one of the first servers I ever had. The iPod classics are 80GB, 80GB and 160GB. The MacBook Air actually uses the same hard drive the iPod classic 80GB uses. Hehe, I looooove music :)

Oh wow, that sounds like A LOT of work!

Yes. I would love a new one, but this one is only a year and a half old, and it's been the best investment I've made when it comes to anything computer related. By the time I got used to my iMac, I was like... Compaq, never again!

What kind of music do you enjoy?

Yeah yeah it definitely is a lot of work haha

I remember when I got my first iMac G5 (first Mac too), that was the best $2100 I spent ever! I've never looked back and now I have tons of Apple product! I love it!!!

Music, well I enjoy a lot everything from hardcore, punk rock, street punk, some ska, J-Pop, J-Rock, nature sounds, Chinese music, ya know, I like a good variety of music haha

http://www.last.fm/user/keainanhai - small percentage of what I listen too hehe

Ah, yeah I thought about doing something like that, but this is muuuch better.

How come MAL didn't work out to well for you? It seems much easier lol and more metadata-ish if that's a word haha

well sometimes i LOVE the thought of putting in tons of data and information, like when i do tax returns, but for some reason there are other times i do not, like when it comes to indexing my book collection (now over 400 and growing heh heh heh) or even my anime/manga collection, for some reason when it come to such a thing, a place where i can simply list in text format the information, works better than putting in select information like whether i liked or not and when i owned it, etc. ^_^

also there is always the opportunity to make up a word, just got to get it aprpoved by certain language associations and get enough people using it and la la :D

I completely agree with [info]izzie you should increase the price your site is doing really well and is expanding quickly it is good to know the money is being put back into the site! greatestjournal suddenly died leaving thousands (i think) of angry users all wanting to know why a site they helped pay for was dead!

the new communities look fun I've joined scribbld suggest for sure!

Yeah I was definitely scared about snapping it, but it's actually a pretty sturdy unit! I am pretty impressed with it.

Let me know if you join MyAnimeList!
