Characters: Sunny Garcia and Anastas de Kooning
Setting: Stasi's room, Monday afternoon, after this
Rating: There will be cussing... lots of cussing
Summary: Sunny is less than pleased about the conversations that her boyfriend has on the internet... in public... where other people can see.

I really need to stop looking online. That's it. I'll just give up the internet after this, she thought to herself as she marched out of Beauregard. Honestly! Does he have to have conversations like that in public?! She was fuming and only working herself up as she made her way to House Lalaurie. She burst through the front door of the house and slipped into the seniors dorm. Without the usual polite knock she opened Stas's door and glared at him from the doorway. "You're a dick," she said simply before really thinking.

"So you have finally figured out?" Stas gestured her in and closed the door behind her. "How was your first day back?"

She grimaced at his casual tone and stepped into his room but before getting another word out she slapped him hard across the face. "Really? You're really going to talk like that online where everyone can see?" her face was turning red with embarrassment and anger. "My first day back was humiliating."

He let her slap him, grinned into it. She hadn't been hitting him as much and he did miss it. "You mean Leon's journal?" He could play dumb, though clearly he knew what this was about. Leon had said some things about Sunny's ass and he'd written some things about not being satisfied. Clearly they'd both crossed the line.

"Don't you dare Anastas de Kooning," each word laced with a threat. "You know that's exactly what I'm talking about," her eyes narrowed, her anger overcoming her fear that people had been right about him the whole time. Hitting him was just easier than admitting she was disappointed and upset so she slapped him again.

Stas was torn between apologizing and letting her pummel him raw. "I cannot control what he writes. That is in the constitution. Freedom of speech."

"So instead of telling him off for talking about my ass you just announce to the whole school that you're not satisfied? That I'm not enough for? You just go and prove that I really am the biggest idiot on the planet for giving you a chance?" she covered her mouth tightly, trying not to let the rest of her thoughts slip out.

He stepped forward and slipped his hands around her shoulders. "My little sunshine. I am sorry to have angered you." He almost never backed down. Almost never apologized. Sunny had broken something in him and he was feeling less and less like himself the longer they stayed together. "You are not an idiot. But I am a jerk."

Her eyes softened and her face betrayed her momentarily before she snapped back to that sneer. "Don't. Don't fucking start with that bullshit sexy Russian boy bullshit," she stepped back, pushing his chest with a little less force than she had before. "That's not the point. The point is... the point is that you're not... you're not satisfied so who's to say you're not getting satisfied somewhere else?" her voice lost all of it's anger, insecurity and paranoia creeping in.

He was getting his satisfaction elsewhere, but he wasn't about to tell her that. "Sunny, I was only teasing Leon. You know how he gets. I try to defuse situations. Was I not in trouble the last time I tried to defuse a Leon situation as well?" Deferment was his best weapon in this situation.

"Well yeah, you were," she was still frustrated but he was beginning to talk his way out of it. She didn't want to let him win this one though, she was trying to prove a point. "But did you really have to write it that way? Did you even have to bring me up? I stand up for you all the fucking time Anastas. I fucking trust you," she pushed him harder. She was angry that he had somehow bust through her self imposed fortress, that he had somehow earned her trust.

"I only meant that you cannot satisfy me the way a boy could. Nothing more than that." It was a shit, terrible excuse, but her armor was crumbling even as she tried to put it back up. "It was a horrible joke. I am sorry you were hurt because of it."

Her bottom lip trembled a little but she forced herself to remain firm. "Does it matter? I'm not a boy, you're with me, so it really shouldn't matter," she was going to talk herself in circles if she didn't stop herself soon so she just rambled in Spanish (mostly cursing) for a few minutes. She finally stopped to talk a breath and looked at Stas. "You know chamaco... fucking shit."

He knew. He was being a terrible shit. He wasn't sure he could spin this out much longer. He was going to fuck it up and he was going to do it grandly. But something had changed in Stas and he didn't want to fuck it up like he usually did. He wanted to fight to keep her. "What can I do to make it up to you?"

"You can prove to me that I'm more than just some stupid chick to you for fuck's sake!" she hit his chest hard but then sighed. "Chocolate helps too," she mumbled. "Prove everyone wrong Stasi," she put her hand on his cheek and a little hint of a smile snuck up on her.

"You are not some stupid chick." The words sounded strange and foreign in his accent. "I will buy you an entire dorm full of chocolate." He leaned over and kissed her forehead gently. He was second guessing himself, but he'd been wanting to tell her for some time. "I love you," he whispered against her hair.

She snickered at his rendition of stupid chick but her giggling didn't last long. The three words she hadn't expected from him had stolen the air from her lungs, her stomach plunged. She had been thinking the same thing, quietly second guessing herself but there it was, out in the open. He said it, he took the step she never thought he would and she couldn't deny it anymore. "I love you," she said just as quietly, letting her arms wrap around his shoulders. She had finally let herself dive into that terrifying and exhilarating unknown.

Stas wrapped his arms around her body and pulled her closer to him. "I will try to be better." He didn't want this to be another hollow promise, but the sinking feeling in his stomach told him it would be. He squeezed her gently and pressed a kiss to her shoulder through her shirt. He knew a little trick that would make her feel that kiss as if there was no clothing there. He pulled back just slightly to kiss her lips this time, a little bit demanding but much more apologetic now that he knew he could kiss her without getting punched.

She snuggled close to him, pushing back that fight and flight feeling she always got when she was that close to anyone. She hated that she was still struggling with her boundary issues but his kisses had softened since they had been together and it was easier to enjoy kissing. She shivered a little at his lips on her shoulder. "I will appreciate the effort," she grinned before kissing him back, she let her fingers run through his hair. She was totally lost in the moment, her defenses completely crumbled as he held her.
