Digging In For Another Day Carrying On In My Own Way (Open)
Cait hadn't felt like celebrating anything lately, let alone a holiday mostly for couples. February was a month full of holidays, then again just about every month was, but Cait didn't want to celebrate any of them. There was Dies Parentales, Lupercalia, Quirinalia, and Feralia to name a few. She hadn't made any offers or said any prayers. Her heart wasn't in it.

Cait had been keeping to herself. She either stayed in her room and played with the water in the fountain Corey had gotten her or she walked down on the shore of the lake and played with the ice and water. Normally she loved being around the other students, but since the episode with the Marauders she was becoming more and more reclusive.

She sighed and stepped out onto the ice on the lake. She started making ice statues.

Aaron was already at the lake he had been getting some alone time out in the fresh air. It might have been cold out but it beat reading the same section of book over and over again trying to jump start his memories from the attack which he had still been unable to recover.

Aaron had been on the other side of the lake when he had spotted Cait walking out onto the ice. He started walking closer when he saw that she was making Ice sculptures. She was definitely much better at manipulating her powers than he probably ever would be.

“Hey those are really good looking,” Aaron said in reference to the ice sculptures she was making, “I have never gotten past stick figures myself.”

	She smiled slightly. "Thanks. I try to practice as much as I can, but Corey's better at the whole sculpture thing." She felt the familiar pain of missing her brother when she mentioned him. "The ice is thick if you want to come out here," she said. Even if it hadn't been, she could have made it thicker. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	“Sure,” says Aaron as he starts carefully walking across the ice towards Cait so he hopefully wouldn’t fall and do a face plant. As Aaron got closer to Cait he asked, “So how have you been?” He hadn’t really talked to Cait in a while and he knew she had had a rough past couple weeks. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	“Pretty good,” said Aaron his head had finally stopped ringing about a week ago and the bruises had all faded now. 	“I’m taking four courses in electrical engineering and one on Shakespeare,” says Aaron who also starts looking at the sculptures. “They look pretty good to me, but like I said never got past stick figures so I’m not sure how good a judge I am.” (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

“So how is Corey doing down in Louisiana,” asked Aaron, he knew how close Cait is to her family and he hadn’t heard how Corey was doing now that he moved out.

“Call is abstract art and it won’t matter how realistic they look besides like I said much better than anything I could do,” Aaron says.

Pointing his right hand away from them he charges up his hand and creates a beam of lighting which he shaped into a simple stick figure taking almost all his concentration to make the simple figure.

"He's doing well," she said with a nod. "It's a better fit for him with the art school right there. The artiste needs to be in his element." She missed the Twerp as did Rufus. It was weird not having her brother around. Cait didn't even have the heart to pick on Rufus.

She smiled. "That's an idea." She watched him with his powers. An idea struck her. She formed ice around the light, encasing it.

“Well that’s good to hear that Cory’s doing well and found a good fit,” says Aaron, “I’m sure that Lyta would never let anything happen to him down there.”

Looking at his stick figure now incased in ice looking like an icy neon light sculpture. “Well if we’re doing these types of sculpture then I know one we definitely have to make.” Withdrawing the current bolt of lightening and aiming for a different spot making the classic X-men logo in the air.
