So you see, I have this doctor's note...

Martin stands outside the therapist's door and fiddles with his hat. He didn't know why Bea insisted he go to this. Okay, well he did know why. Probably something to do with that hat incident and losing control. But he was sane! He wasn't extra weird or anything. Why did he have to do this?

And what worried him most was that he didn't know what kind of files this guy would have on him. Technically in the government files he'd been legally dead for a few years, and he guessed Dr. Strange had pulled a few strings regarding his files so there shouldn't be anything on him except for this past almost year with the Thunderbolts...but still. It worried him a lot.

Taking a deep breath Martin peaks in the doorway and taps his hat against the door.

Maybe the doctor's note would work?

	The mage who jumps into demon infested dimensions actually seems wary when stepping into Leonard's office. "Hello. Bea sent me," he explains while standing not far from the door and looking around the room with a slightly fearful look in his eye. Somehow this was worse than a hell dimension for him. It wasn't an unwarranted question. Everything about Martin screamed 'Young'. From his body language, to the way he talked, to his wide-eyed look now, everything indicated he wasn't quite as old as he looked. Which wasn't all that old to begin with.

"I didn't know that." Martin looks reluctant and eyes the room again nervously. "There was an um...magic thing. So my age is weird is all. It's not that far off. Just...a bit." What if this guy was going to tell the others how old he was and kick him off? He wasn't even sure who the technical four year old was. Jack?

"Oh. Well we do lots of dimensional travel stuff and every dimension works a bit different, some of them have weird physics or directions or stuff and in this one time worked different. So it just makes your body and mind experience it at different rates. Of course for Dr. Strange it didn't matter much because he's older but lives long 'cause of magic and..." He cuts himself off because talk of magic had relaxed him. He shouldn't talk so much lest he say something he shouldn't eventually.

"Okay," he nods, taking in the information about Kelly with interest but not telling Samson he would actually be 14 this month.

Martin doesn't answer for a long moment and just stares at his hat as he turns it in his hands. "Umm well it was not too long after I uh...got my magic." He cheers up slightly at the next bit. "Dr. Strange said I was a really good student and learnt fast so he gave me the hat because of that. 'Cause I really couldn't touch anything because I didn't have good control so my hands leaked more often and umm...it was nice I could finally touch something..."

Martin stares at his hat and just nods in agreement. The silence felt odd. Maybe he'd said something wrong? He didn't think he'd-

Oh. He shouldn't have admitted the old control issues. He really shouldn't have. What if the guy looked into it more and realized how fragile the control over his powers was? Didn't they take people who couldn't control their powers away to someplace? Because they were a danger?

Fear grips him again and he stares down wide-eyed before he has to blurt a defense out. "But-But my control is much better now! The first time it-I mean don't think...Ask Dr. Strange! I work real hard at it! Ask him! I even have a note if you need..." Don't let the guy take him away to out-of-control power jail. Please.

"Silencing spells aren't harmful..." Though the newly charmed biting hat might be. "Well I already put security charms on my hat so he shouldn't take it again. I don't know what else to do that won't be too harmful. It's hard to plan if you can't predict someone. And I really don't get Jack. I mean...I understand most of what he says, unlike Kelly, but I don't get...the stuff behind it. Like the superhero stuff. I'm not superhero. It's confusing," he admits.

	Martin tilts his head and gives Samson an odd look, not quite understanding something. "What...can I do to make him taking my hat not hurt me?" That didn't make any sense to him. Martin looks at his feet, a little ashamed. Dr. Strange had told him something similar many times. He needed to stay calm and reign in his emotions, because when he didn't was when those magical sparks and accidents became frequent.

"...Okay I guess. But I thought I was firm." Perhaps he'd been a little too firm at the hat stealing, at least it'd made an impression. People should just get it, he mentally grumbled.

"Yep, though I could always just freeze only him next time," Martin nodded while gently tossing his hat to a spot on the floor in between them. He snaps his fingers when the hat hits the floor and it immediately jumps up, sharp teeth somehow having grown along the inside and it jumps around the floor snapping and growling.

"I have a lot of spells I can use," Martin smiles as he directs the hat to hop back to him, where it jumps onto his knee and stays, back to looking like an innocent hat.

Because 'How to deal with Jack' was the issue for today but if he ever had to come back again the next issue might be more uncomfortable. Then maybe he'd need two doctor's notes to get out of it. 	...Oh there was no good way to tell anyone that you didn't ever want to see them again. And that was before taking into account this was a therapist guy who could tell Bea whatever he wanted and get him kicked off the team. "...Do I need to come back? I'm fine, really.
