this is how i choose to interact with people.
1. look at fp.
2. see post
a) is there a question i want to answer?
a2) answer question skip to 3.
b) is the song something they know/like?
b2) comment on song skip to 3
c) is there something in the post that my character can mention?
c2) mention it skip to 3
3. get reply
a) is the commenter replying with something that keeps the conversation going?
a2) reply to reply return to 3.
b) does the commenter seem to not care or reply with 1 word answer?
b2) skip back to step 1.

it seems as if the people that are mad about the interaction thing just want to be popular because i play a 30+ female who isn't allistair or anyone from that crew and she has actual sls.

i do too, and I might be outing myself but she's closer to 40 than 30. i have SLs and I don't get a lot of random interaction but that's because i don't comment a ton because i just don't have the time.

as someone who plays a 30+ female character, i don't get a lot of interaction because i'm not around as much as i'd like to be. so i don't really blame anyone but myself for it. but when i do have her around, there are a lot of people who do comment/talk to her regularly. so anyone who's bitching really shouldn't, maybe you should just put a little more effort into commenting around too and not just assuming that it's because you're character is older than 30. interaction is a two way street.

neither of my girls get a lot of comments from different people on individual posts, but they do get a lot of interaction from different people. i just never think it's up to the popular people to make me feel good about myself/my character.

I'll out myself because I have nothing to lose. I play ~ninap and I get about as much interaction for her as I'm willing to go out and get. You have to work for it, regardless of age or credits. Do I get a lot of random comments from people, no, not really, but that's how RP fucking works. I realized that by making her the age she was and giving her the credits I did, I'd be interacting with a certain sect of people who give a shit about that stuff, and I'm cool with that. Quit whining, write a good character and people will want to play with you. And if you do that and they don't want to write with you, go find interaction somewhere else, or write narratives. You have to be true to your character regardless and that's all that matters in writing/RP. That's all.
