guys, can we please stop being mean about the awards? they've been working really hard on them because they love the comm and wanted to do something nice for it. if you didn't like the way they were run/didn't want to be associated with them, they gave you the opportunity to opt out. an opportunity which i think still stands.

honestly, what good is going to come out of bitching?

awards are inherently ooc anyway. i doubt my character would care about nominating her friends for "awards" that don't even have an ic reason to exist, but i think they're kind of a fun thing

characters wouldn't care about icons, layouts, etc either, but we all do those things too. it's one of those aspects of rp you have to bend, but yes, there can be such a thing as ic voting on awards.

i really think ooc voting can be fun. that way, if there is a character or group of characters that yours isn't particularly close to but you want to show some appreciation for, you can do that!

seriously anons, you're making me just want to pull awards with all of this. here's how i see things. i wanted to do something for the comm that i thought would be fun. i tried to come up with as many categories as i could because i want all of the great writers here to be recognized for their efforts. i really tried to do the best i could to make sure people would have a good time but i guess it's just not enough. it's an impossible dream to think that i could make a majority of people happy with this and i see that now. so thanks, i guess. i'm sorry i couldn't do something to make you guys happy and give you something fun to do. :(
