Right. I know that, timing-wise, perhaps this seems grossly inappropriate and ill-timed but

WHY IS THEIR FAKE BLOOD AND WINE ALL OVER LADY MACBETH'S WHITE DRESS? WHY? WHY NOT THE RED DRESS? I COULD HAVE HANDLED THE RED DRESS! THIS IS THE BEGINNING, ISN'T IT?! AND NOW I FEEL DIZZY AND I'M PROBABLY COMING DOWN WITH A COLD, BUT WHERE IS THE DAGGER?! THAT WAS SPECIAL-ORDERED IN AND WHERE IS IT?!

I can't breathe.

I looked over the ingredient list, I can run over to the lab and whip up an easy solution that should break down the base and the pigments.

Your other options are having it dry cleaned or replaced.

If you make the wrong concoction you'll end up burning a bloody hole in it or something!

Unlikely. I've taken all factors into account. The materials of the fabric, ingredients in the fake blood. The solution is relatively mild, it shouldn't harm the fabric. Chemistry is my thing, Mandy.

Thank you, Alice. I appreciate that. You are doing an excellent job as stage manager.

Terry. I'm confused.

It's the curse. It's begun to rear its ugly head.

You're kidding. Right? That thing isn't real. Right? There's no curse. Please!

[info]macbeth
2008-01-29 06:04 am UTC (link)
Of course there's a curse. Did you think I wasn't serious?

[info]toldstein

I mean, I don't know! No, I didn't think you were serious! I thought it was, you know, a joke. Ha ha ha, there's a curse on this play, isn't that funny? On with the show! Blah blah blah. You know, something like that.

I see. Well, there is a curse.

Okay. Are you sure, though? I mean, you know. Really sure? And is this going to affect the lights? Because they're really cool, if I say myself, and if this curse fucks them up then I'm going to have to have a few words with it.

I honestly do not know. But regardless, we will figure something out. There is no need to panic.

Ha, who is panicking? Certainly not I. I don't even believe in this curse thing, so why should I panic about it?

I think I'm going to go check on the lights.

I think it would be best to check on them as little as possible.

Really? You know what, you're right. There's nothing to be worried about. I'm sure this was just some little mistake and that everything will run smoothly from here on in. Nothing to be worried about at all.

Precisely.

I mean, what if one of them falls? Not that I'm worried about it. But that would really suck, I mean, or what if the setup mysteriously gets lost and I have to do it all over again, I have those things timed to the second or what if that kid who's doing the spotlight loses an arm, as improbably as that might be, WHAT IF?

Purely hypothetical, of course. None of that would actually happen. I'm just saying.
