Football is over but there's a new sport back in town
He'd done it. He'd finally gotten tickets to a baseball game. It had taken some saving up, and some luck finding them online (and rather last minute) but he found them. And on the first game of the regular season too! He fully expected that the tickets he eventually got would be for some later date but the opportunity arose and he wasn't going to let it slip by. Birthday luck coming early, that's what he'd put it down to.

Grinning like an idiot and still excited over his luck, he managed to not stutter and ask Jess if she wanted to come to see Coast City's first home game of the season. The seats may not be great but that didn't matter really. Harry was certainly in a good mood.

They have to walk there but Jess is in a good mood. She slips an arm around one of Harry's and grins at him. She's in a good mood still.

Once they reach the bar she waves a greeting to an old man at the bar who is watching two different games.

"Hey Charlie! How goes it?"

Charlie grunts and Jess just grins. The place is starting to fill up though so there will be little chance to banter.

	He enjoys having her arm around his and really can't keep the smile off right now. The place is getting crowded as others come back from the game. Nobody blinks twice at the green girl. He does take the opportunity to look over all the other people to see if there was a spot for them, or if there were pool tables. Either worked. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Oh hey," Jess brightens seeing a table. "Come on. That one's still free." On there way over though something happens to disrupt them. Some guy grabs at Jess pulling her back. He feels Jess wrenched from him and instantly turns to see what's going on. "Jess?"

Oh dear, drunk people. Okay drunk people wanting to start fights he has experience with. It wasn't like they were fighting already. This could be stopped. And besides, they were hurting Jess. That was a definite no.

"Hey! Let her go!" He manages to pull Jess away and put himself between her and the whiskey guy. "She doesn't want to go with you." He hopes they'll leave, but experience tells him no.

	Jess had been ready to deck the whiskey guy but then Harry had come to her rescue. "No one tell me what to do," the big burly drunk man says and tries to punch Harry. The punch does actually connect but nobody but Harry and the guy doing the punching notice. Mostly because there's a slight indigo glow at the impact and the entity just absorbs it all. Harry doesn't actually seem to move back or register that he's been hit, so nobody else notices. But when the guy loses his balance and lands on the other guy, Harry can see this is getting out of hand.

"Hey stop! He was just leaving now." Then he gives the drunk a very serious look. "Right?"

	"No way! I'm gonna hit ya!" He tries to take a swing but the man here with his girlfriend holds him back,. "Buddy. I don't know what your problem is but yer falling all over the damn place. That...he had not expected. That the other guy would be reasonable and even offer to help him out? These things rarely went this well.

"We should help him out," Harry points out. Because anyone could see that this guy was just going to cause trouble. Between him and the friendly fellow bar-goer, the two of them manage to get the uncooperative drunk (followed by his few friends) to the door where the staff did the rest.

Now he's back to his less confident self, if people he cared about were being bothered he could step up but once that disappeared he was his usual self. "Thanks for the help," he says to the man with his girlfriend.

	"Thanks anyway." He decides if they buy drinks that he owes this guy one. And he won't take no for an answer. "Jess?" He rushes over to her now. "You okay? He didn't hurt you right?" He was going to say that if she'd mentioned that he would have stepped aside to give her the chance, but her slight wince has him worried. They sit down and Harry orders drinks, and a beer for the nice guy who helped him, while they decide on food. While ordering, he takes the opportunity to quietly ask if they could get some ice for Jess's arm. He didn't want to make a big fuss or embarrass her.

	When the ice and her beer does arrive at the table, he acts as if he doesn't notice it and that an ice pack is the most usual thing to be brought to the table. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
