[for the past week, he has been trailing this guy, just watching him learning the routine. his work, where he lives, what he does in his free time, some of it was already known as passed on by Madara, now just getting the finer points of it. there wasn't much that this guy did for fun, quite an easy job.]

Mm. Hm. I understand. [hangs up his cell and puts it back into his pocket. looks like the watching is finished with the request coming through to strike. quietly watches for the man to come out of work, ready and waiting to follow.]

[tries to be logical about this. if this guy had orders to kill, wouldn't he have done it already? if he's like a mercenary then the job could have been done long ago. so unless he likes to toy with his victims, is probably here just for a scare tactic... right? wants to be optimistic and hope for the best, but it's hard to put on a brave face with a gun to your head.] If Madara is afraid of us figuring him out... then he would be the one to come after me.

[kill him? if he wanted to do that, he would have been dead the second he walked through the door. and he thought this might have been a smart police man, obviously training is lacking these days. enough chit chat, no time for moral crusades, shifting the gun from its kill shot to the shoulder, squeezing the trigger firing the round into the joint with precision. close enough at this range to pass straight through, no long lasting damage after recovery.]

This is only a message. [kicks Tobirama down onto his back, pulling his phone out of his pocket and cycling through until he sees the brother's name, dialing the number and chucking it down on his chest.] There is more still to come.

[has never been shot before, only heard stories, but no story compares to the actual true pain that comes from a bullet piercing your skin. does cry out, unaware he's even on his back now, just so focused on the overwhelming pain on his shoulder. doesn't notice the phone either, just crying out in hopes someone in this apartment will hear and help him before a second round is fired.]

[instinct says to get up and chase this guy, so tries to get to his feet and run off adrenaline, but... getting shot really fucking hurts. gets to his feet and hears his phone clank to the floor, grabbing it to call for backup, scurrying into the hallway to get a look at the perpetrator but... he's already gone.] Fuck! [curses, wincing and trying again to stand, wanting so bad to chase this guy. goes to dial for the station but there's already... a call...] Hashirama. [how much did he hear? did he hear the gunshot?] My apartment, there... there's a guy-- Madara sent him-- I've been shot but it's fine, we need to catch that guy! [clasps a hand over his shoulder, pulling it away and... that's quite a bit of blood. will just keep that hand there.]

[missed out on any of the talk that was taking place before he picked up but certainly heard the cries, yelling out to get his attention as good as he could through a phone.] You have been shot!? [was already out the door and on his way there from the first whimper.] Where? [fucking Madara!] This is not the time to be brave. Hang up and call the ambulance. I'll keep an eye out for this person. Tell me what did he look like?

[best thing about being cop, sirens. you can use them in emergencies to make the traffic part like the red sea and this is certainly one.] Don't move around too much. Five minutes.
